or pay someone from there to go to NY
This is actually becoming quite popular
Sally Moyland bought in a training partner for 2 months - cheaper than hiring within USA, and a bargain if you work it out based on hourly rate (with all costs included)
Japan and Taiwan has no visa problems. China is very difficult.

My daughter started with inverted rubber for 8 months then switched to LP for 4 months and finally switched to SP. She seems to like it since then and we just loved the chopping style... :)
Thank you very much for your contribution. There's nothing wrong with becoming a chopper. I love playing against a classic defence, but I don't enjoy it as much when 'help-rubbers' are used.
Now, over the years, we've also learned to get around that clip, so don't take what I just wrote too seriously.
What I find interesting is to know why, after eight months, it wasn't possible to play with inverted on both sides. Was the BH really such a big problem to make it offensive, or was the decision purely because it wasn't fun to play on her BH?

its a question of budget of course: if OP is a successful wall street or high-tech multi-(b/m)illionaire he can sure afford this for his kid. its the best solution.
what we did in Taiwan is, 3 kids get together and hire a provincial level practice partner from China, and the 3 families share the cost.
I believe this a good idea.

I am providing sparing partners for a couple of top players in the world and the above 2 or 3 players sharing a partner is something I am looking to promote too, as normally those in the top 50, do have budget to hire partners for themselves, but the ones outside the top 100, not really.

i just remember there is another perfect perfect coach:
Hou Yingchao!

Not only he uses short pips but also has a lot of respect in China because he is one of the very few students of Ding Song

All jokes aside, high level players esp in China are almost impossible to approach for a lesson…

Back to OP question: I would say stick to Jian Li for many reasons people have stated (distance, quality, knowledge regardless the equipment difference). Coaching isn’t all about the equipments anyway…
