Looking for rubber recommendations - Almost 1 year in with the stratus powerwood, G1, C1

Hello. Ive been playing for almost a year now and ive gotten pretty comfortable with my current build (Stratus Powerwood, Fastarc G1 FH and Fastarc C1 BH) and im looking to try some different rubbers with my blade so i can come to a final verdict. Does anyone have some good recommendations? Id appreciate it.

Im not looking to change blades ill leave that for the future my coach also said that my blade is perfect for my level plus im not looking for a faster blade. Why should i switch to the d80 tho?

Its easier to use than dignics 05 with a softer topsheet so you can easily lift backspin plus block and punch. its a do it all rubber.

Why - what do you want to get from a rubber change? Those rubbers are perfectly fine up to a very very high amateur level that only the top 5% of every country get to. Now knowing that, it is perfectly fine to have fun with equipment (it is indeed part of the fun journey), but you should know what you want to get out of a change.

I also previously played with Tibhar SPW and G1/C1 for about a year.

I was satisfied with changing my C1 on backhand to Vega X, it felt like a decent step up. The maximum thickness for C1 is only 2.0mm as well, so Vega X Max is a meaningful jump. The G1 is similar or even a little bit more powerful than the Vega X in the same thickness, I wouldn't bother changing from G1 to Vega X.

If you really want to upgrade the G1 as well then I would look at something like Omega 7 Pro/Tenergy 05 or 19 - my experience is that these are bouncier and faster than the G1 but if you are aggressive and consistent with the G1, I think the change is manageable.

Always good to change only one wing at once though, to make sure your other wing is still a consistent reference point.

Nittaku Fastarc G-1 and C-1 are good rubber. There's no need to change the rubber. Get a carbon fiber blade.

Amazing, 5 months after the last post and you're giving the same advice as post 2 which has also been discussed as not in the scope of the thread.

As for the original question, I'd suggest trying Glayzer and Rozena. Same neighborhood but different feeling.

I use to use G1 for forehand. I now use Nittaku Hammond z2, 2 mm - a step up in speed and spin without losing control, you could even try a 2.2 mm Hammond .

You are right I used Nittaku Hammond Z2 have more speed but isn't as lineal & don't have the same control as Fastarc G-1.

BTY T05 is bouncy and not linear & Tibhar MX-P only work 3 weeks and dead.

Yes depending on blade. On FZD it was to fast not enough control . On harder outer ply blades doesn't seem as good but it's been great on softer blades like the outerforce and Freitas . A friend uses it on his 5 ply wood blade with good results. I think with softer timber it creates more dwell.

Try Donic C2 for forehand. G1 is good, but hybrid is definitely worth a try.

I ve been playing with PKB Opus 40 blade with a Rakza 7 1.8 and Rakza 7 Soft. This is great alternative to the Fastarc C1.
With a Balsa core / Koto outer blade = very good combo. If you play a counter-attacking game and love speed while maintaining excellent control, this combo is superb (for me, at least)
I started competing in 2022; I’m currently ranked 1100 and posted 50 wins out of 60 matches last season. Needless to say, my PKB racket played a part in that! ))
