M3 behaving like a Chinese rubber?

Hello guys!
So, I am still in search of a forehand rubber and as I research on the possible options that I'll go to, one user in another table tennis forum said that the Donic Bluefire M3 behaves like a soft H3. Then I remembered one of my teammate said back then that his rubber, M3, also behaves like a chinese rubber. He has been a long time user of Chinese rubbers, 10-15 years maybe. Also, the top player in our region said that I should try M3 given that I am fond of Chinese rubbers because M3, according to him, behaves like a chinese rubber.

Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to play with my teammates setup with M3 to try it because he already graduated from the university and left. Also, I am still an undergraduate student so money is a bit of a problem, so I can't just go buy and try that rubber.

My question is this: Do any of you confirm that M3 really behaves like a Chinese rubber?

At first I doubted their observations because M3 has a soft sponge and it is a tensor, that is why it is world's apart from Chinese rubber with brick hard sponges and sticky top sheet. But two of those who gave info are really better players than I am so I quite believe them. I just need anyone to confirm.

Thank you! :)

Hello,
I have never heard anything like this.
M3 is completely untacky rubber, it's just gripy. It is very soft rubber, too soft for me. It just can't play like chinese rubbers because it's just completely different. I have played with it once and I don't remember anything good. Too much dwell time, too slow, too high throw angle.
I don't beliave this rubber could replace your chinese rubbers, so you should try anything else.

IMHO, being used of both chinese tacky rubbers in forehand side and m3 at backhand I say NO..m3 didn't behave or look like chinese rubbers at all

Ok, thank you! Anyway, I remember you're also searching for a forehand rubber, right? Have you decided what to use?

Yes but I have a lot of time, at the start of the summer I will test out some rubbers, and than choose a rubber which I will use whole summer for practice.

i prefer m3 then m1, m3 is a safer rubber to use as it acts more like tenergy 05 and m1 acts more like tenergy 64 in terms of speed and spin. i use m3 and it is my favoruite rubber for value for money

I wouldn't say M1 is like tenergy 64. M1 is so much spinnier and It's still slower than T64. M2 is the closest one to 05, but this guy is looking for hard rubbers, not softies like M3

Well I value all your inputs guys. Thanks! So far regarding the original contention of the post, M3 doesn't act like any Chinese rubber at all.

Hmmm, in the end I'll be playing with a blue sponge hurricane 3. But I'm still thinking if I try the M1 just for experimentation's sake. Haha
But the limited budget pulls me. So yeah, I've now decided to go for that blue sponge h3.

Thanks for all your inputs! 😊
