RATIONALE.
The part of actual provision 2.6.4 regarding "hidden ball" ought to be deleted as an unfeasible requirement. Most cases of the hidden balls would happen out of umpire's field of vision or can't be recognized by umpire for a certainty. It is hoped the newly proposed provision of the server's head posture should resolve the sore issue of hidden services once and for all.
SOME PERSONAL REMARKS.
ITTF URC has now got to decide between the two draft formulations v1 and v2. Both of the formulas seem to meet well our supreme purpose as to effectively prevent hidden services from the game. Sure, a lot of practical trials have to be taken onwards, so as to learn players/umpires fidback and opinions on the proposed service rule.
