Has anyone bought a recent 09c?

I just glued a new 09c to my blade, the other side has a 2 year old version.

The new 09c has ZERO tackiness, while the old one can still lift the ball.

I understand that hurricane 3 are produced less tacky nowadays in order to have more speed, are they doing same thing with 09c?

Can anyone confirm?

I have the same experience. I bought about three weeks ago.

What is going on? Do manufacturers know something we don't? Do they think non tacky is better? What about the people who still want tack? Why can't they make both types? Tacky and Non tacky.

There must be some chemical toxicity in tackiness that causes cancer or something. They just won't advertise it because they want to quietly make it go away.

If you like the D09c sticky and it isn't then you should return it back and ask for your expenses (product(s) price and posting & returning costs) They advertise it as sticky!!! This is what I would do if I was in your place!

I messaged butterfly, they claim their quality control is awesome and there was no change in the manufacturing of the rubbers.

Funny
Japan can be funny , they will never admit that there is a problem but once you prove to them that THERE IS a problem they will be very very apologetic , compensate you and you might even get a box of chocolate on top. 😂

Some rubbers actually do get tackier over time I've noticed, esp if you keep plastic on them. I can't speak to dignics

Myself and a few friends just bought some new 09c because ours were near the end of life. Fresh out the box they had zero tackiness

I just think is is a very light tasky rubber with good grip. You may have created more tack with your maintenance and the sponge getting a bit softer over time?
