New Loki Blue, Pink rubbers

Loki now has this new blue and pink rubber for Rxton 3. It looks really nice, I would totally be interested in getting these except that they cost a lot more than the regular Rxton 3. So, I guess the extra cost is just for the color?

I haven't tried the regular RXTON3 yet, but I do have a sheet that I'm gonna glue on my Stiga Carbonado 45 later but according to what Loki told me, the RXTON3 regular is different from the Blue and Pink. I already tried the Pink which according to their hardness scale is 39 degrees, the blue is 40 degrees. Not sure on the regular RXTON3.

never mind the baby-blue and pinky rubbers, they are just ways to get more money out of our pockets............but then of course so is this Rxton5 red and black with ""imported blue sponge"".We can not buy it separately , we have to buy the Loki 9 star racket to score the rubbers of it, or the 7 star. 😁

Like they say: "it is imported sponge" so anything is possible. There might be a factory in deepest Kazhikustan just making blue sponge for the world.
btw. I think the pic shows the Loki 7 , the Loki 9 features blue sponge on the red rubber and black sponge on the black rubber.
I would have bought a set each but here the use for straight carbon blades is virtually non existent.

I will try to describe the situation at the table. Imagine being midrallye and the opponent starts looping and you countertopspinning. Usually these balls, especially in the beginning and closer to the table are quite flat, because speed (and placement) is what usually will get you the point...

To answer the OP's question, the R3 blue is a totally different rubber to the black or red (didn't try the pink) - really it should have a different name entirely.

The blue's top sheet is harder and stiffer than the black and red, plus the blue's sponge is harder, and has a very different consistency. The blue is also hugely tacky, while the black and red versions are semi-tacky hybrids.

The blue is also a much better rubber IMO than either the black or red. Check out the review for details.

on the data sheet I have, pink and blue is both 40 deg on Shore C / 48 on Shore A
Normal Rxton 3 is 39/45

All of Loki`s colorful rubbers are excellent, even for a 50 year old beginner like me. Arthur C, Rxton 3 and Rxton 5.

Im not impressed with the color 3. Weight is 68 on a smaller square. Sponge is pretty hard. Pink tends to go to females in western culture but its not a friendly rubber.

Yes! 3 consecutive sheets. Although, the first one lasted 9ish months before it happened, then the next 2 all within 1 month of using.

I currently try the rxton 3 blue and my passive game got so much worse coming from T19. Weird enough people struggled with my serve (spin a bit deceiving - it looks as if I put more spin than the ball actually has) I did the same serve motion with T19 they had no problems. To me it looks like it doesn't produce much spin also very hard to me to make the ball not drift too long or too short.
Blocking was fine except for those balls that are coming from a drive stroke and I am just reacting - they instantly fall naturally into the net so it requires atleast more hitting or topspinning. Tried chopping which I sometimes do with t19 to give them a floatish ball but you can forget it with this rubber. Didn't manage to land them on the table always goes into the net.

Normal topspins are fine. Doesn't take too much effort tbh. Low arc. Has a "click" sound if I activate and engage the sponge.

I tried it on my bh aswell but it doesn't suit me there. I like to passive block a lot before I decide to topspin eventually. So my passive blocks where I just hold and guide the ball back is a bit uncontrolled in terms of length of the ball.

Pushing no problem I liked it no adjustment needed. I could even push a long push short and low back. I found that really nice.

And it stinks A LOT.
