Definitely looking forward to having a wood blade sometime in the future!
Which one would you recommend?
Heard good things about Peter Korbel, All round classic and the Yasaka sweden extra?
Also whats your playstyle?
I’ve used a few defensive blades, but if I had to choose one blade it would be the BTY Primorac all wood - Japan version. If that’s not available then the Std Primorac all wood. ( the ‘Japan’ version is made in Japan and has better build quality / materials. I believe the Std version is made in Europe.) The Primorac all wood has been around for years and is/was one of BTY’s best sellers, and it’s a best seller for a reason!! People like it!! The std version costs circa €40 and the Japan version around €60 - €70
Not used the Korbel, but again it’s a BTY best seller for the same reason the Primorac is, faster than the Primorac.

this is my Japan version Primorac with J&H H52 ( which you would probably like!!! )

If you're looking to try out an all wood blade, the Ma Lin Extra Offensive and Stiga Rosewood V are my absolute favorites. They have a crisp feel like Viscaria, great speed when you hit hard, and an amazing amount of control. When paired with Skyline 2 it's very easy to take fast spinny loops and drop them slowly so they bounce twice on the other side.

Petr Korbel and Sweden Extra are great blades, but they're both very soft. They feel quite mushy compared to Viscaria, and the ball will bite into the wood quite severely. You will have to drag the ball rather than hit it. Some people like this feeling but it's very much the opposite of the crisp Viscaria feeling.

For rubbers, I think Big Dipper will do well especially on backhand. I never tried H8-80 but H8 is a solid step up from H3 in terms of speed, very suitable for both FH and BH.

My favorite Yinhe rubber is Jupiter. Great for forehand.

Definitely try Hurricane 3 if you haven't already. Skyline 2 also pairs really well with crisp blades as mentioned above. If you don't boost on your own, buy the "neo" version of these rubbers.

Loki Rxton 3 and Rxton 5 are also really worth trying. They're really cheap but don't be fooled -- the quality is incredible. And they come in cool colors. They're Chinese style rubbers, and a bit easier to use than Hurricane 3
Im going for h3 neo on the fh and big dipper on the back hand. How much is the spin difference between h3 neo 2.2 and H8 mid hard?

I recommend giving Rasanter C53 a try. I used Rasanter R48 and C53 (both MAX) on Stiga Cybershape AR classic. R48 was bouncy so I had to use gentle strokes, while C53 felt amazing and offered more gears. C53 has more linear trajectory and easier to initiate the attack close to the table, but once you engage in the rally the speed becomes faster than R48 so prepare for quick reaction.

I will add them to the list. R48 is wayyy too bouncy.

Agreed. I was surprised as well. If felt more bouncy than MX-P.

Since you liked Arthur, and really want something low-throwing and with a lot of spin, just go with a chinese rubber, for example Hurricane. Also get Yinhe Big Dipper, Jupiter 3, Rxton 5 or Apollo 5 if you want something a bit faster.
Im getting the H3neo provincial blue sponge on the fh and on the bh, the 38 degree yinhe big dipper

So I put The Rakza 7 on the bh because Big dipper wasn’t available around me. The Fh is Hurricane 3 Neo National 40 degrees. Its a little tacky. Feels like Im hitting the ball with a brick. I will post an update since I used it for the first time today and haven’t had time to fully play with it.
