I like C-1 on my backhand. If you like G-1 on your forehand, then you might like C-1 on your backhand.

Both G-1 and C-1 do not have that much catapult effect, which I like. G-1 is heavier than C-1; you can tell when you pick up a blade that has G-1 v.s. C-1 on the backhand side (my forehand has always been Chinese rubber like hurricane).

When I was using all wood blade, I liked G-1 on the BH. When I went to carbon, I actually went back to C-1 and likes it better than G-1 on the BH. It is easier for me to open up a loop with C-1.

Now if you want something faster than C-1, then go with Tibhar Evolution series such as EL-P or EL-S. The Evolution series has more catapult effect than the Fastarc series.

Never played P-1 at all in my life so no comment on that.

I actually played with G-1, C-1 and now P-1 in the last 2 months

I played last full season with G-1 on backhand and I had a little bit of a love-hate relationship. On the one hand I liked the spin, but I felt it was lacking some control in the faster open rallies.

After season was over I decided to try C-1. It was quite difficult to transition. C-1 was quite a bit slower and I really had to adjust my technique on topspin strokes because I wasn’t used to playing with a softer rubber. After 4 weeks of using it I got used to it more. I was making less mistakes when under pressure, but it was also harder for me to put pressure on the opponent. I could either play a slow topspin, or a fast punch shot. I couldn’t get the technique right to hit hard topspins which felt like a playing with a handicap for me. Open-up against backspin was easy and smooth. However there was a noticeable lack of spin compared to the G-1.

Eventually after a little over a month of C-1 I couldn’t help myself to try P-1. Since the sponge of P-1 is the same hardness as the G-1, but it has a softer topsheet. And I have to say from the moment I tried P-1 it instantly felt better then C-1 for me. I could finally hit hard topspins again and it had more spin then C-1. However, I have also been using it for about 3 weeks and I find there is 1 downside compared to both G-1 and C-1 and that is open-ups against backspin. I have turned my racket around a few times lately, since I still use G-1 on forehand. And I have to say G-1 feels more consistent. With P-1 it feels like you have to be more precise to consistently hit your shots. G-1 just feels better allround.

So for me after trying them all I will go back to G-1 eventually. If you want something different then G-1 I would suggest C-1. It gonna be slower and not a spinny as G-1. But its more foregiving if your backhand isn’t as good. The P-1 is not a rubber I would suggest to anyone (at least not over G-1), for me it just feels like a worse version of G-1.

would fast carbon blades like dhs hurricane king Q968 make a significant difference with the c-1 speed

I think so. When I used wood blade, G-1 felt good. Then when I switched to carbon, G-1 felt too fast. I went back to C-1 with carbon blade and C-1 is fast enough.

Hello everyone. I just have one request especially to those who are giving their thoughts on the said rubbers P1/G1/C1. Can y'all please include what blade u use so that we can use it as additional reference to determine if it would be too fast or slow on our backhand side? Thanks to @JJ Ng for tdoing this already

I'm thinking of choosing a new set up. with the blade i want hurricane king Q968 and for the fh, nittaku fastarc G-1. but I'm not sure what i want for my bh. Its either c1 or p1. For my backhand, I like doing quick rallies, I like when my backhand is aggressive. I want the rubber to be fast by also spiny.
i just got c1 in my backhand and G1 on forehand. My blade is viscaria ALC, I previously have MXP on FH and hurricane 8-80 on BH and all I can say is the switch was perfect. Control was superb, as long as I can get the ball hit my racket even full swing topspins, it is so easy to return. My playing partner was even surprised at how better my block game was compared to my previous setup. spin is still there as long as u can engage the sponge properly. My technique ryt now is to try to block some vicious attacks and then do counters. It makes opponent stressed and upset as they have this feeling that I'll be able to block all of there incomming setups.HAHAHA

Hey I saw you went H8-80 for bh, was there any reason behind that, also did you get to play c1 in bh, i have a hurricane wcq rn and play g-1 fh and c1 bh, like other people have said, it's a bit slower and have to adjust technique it's very weird idk
Hi, sorry I haven’t updated my equipment setup. I went away from h8-80 because 2 chinese rubbers are too heavy for me although my experience with h8-80 was so good. It’s soft but it feels bouncy at the same time, (maybe because of the blade). I also used C1 for like 3 months and deyyym that rubber was amazing in the backhand for blocking, chiquita and bh loop. I thought it will be my main BH rubber until my officemate gave me his used dignics09c and after that I never changed bh rubber hahahah
