Hello all..
Recently i found out nittaku have released the g-1 in "max thickness" but i thought the previous "super thick 2.0 mm" version was already the maximum since it has been said that the the fastarc rubbers have thicker topsheets than usual (correct me if i'm wrong) .

Wouldn't the new max version make this out of legal limits, unless thay have tampered with the topsheet making it thinner?

One of my G-1's has "THICK" printed on its backside, the other has "MAX". Thick is ~1.8mm, max about 2.0 I've seen reports about a 2.15mm version (supermax?) but haven't seen it on sale anywhere.

I have no need for it either.

It's available from TT11. The range goes:

  • Medium (1.4mm)
  • Thick (1.8mm)
  • Super-thick (2mm)
  • Max (2.15mm)

Like Yoass I've also been hesitant to try the new Max. The regular 2.0mm version is just so good!

I'm also curious to hear thoughts on Nittaku G-1 2.0 vs max comparison 😊

Is this only for G-1 or it applies to all the fastarc series? i.e C-1,P-1, S-1?

Super thick is 2.0mm and there is a max version too?

My sheet curls inward so a thin layer of booster helps flatten it out to make it easier to affix.

And yes, plays nicer without really affecting its lifespan - like what, lose a few weeks out of its 8 months+ lifespan 😂
