I have been playing and switching between the Dignics 05 and 80 rubbers for a while now (Used on my forehand) and I was thinking about trying something new, I read about the Nittaku Genextion and wanted to see how it feels and how it compares to the Dignics rubbers, I like to play using heavy spin for loops and drives does it fit my style for my forehand?

Anyone have any more insights of how the regular Genextion rubber plays? Im receiving a new blade for my birthday soon, probably a Viscaria, and since Im broke, got some free used rubbers from my friend, a Blue Sponge National H3 Neo for my FH and the Genextion for BH. I will use this until I can get my normal rubbers again (Same FH, D09c BH). How does Genextion feel? Does it feel similar to D05?

I have used the Genextion on both FH and BH and have limited experience with the D05.

I guess I would explain it to be similar to the Fastarc G1 is to the T05.

D05 is a hard rubber that feels hard and is ideal for very advanced players who can get the most out of the sponge. The Genextion is similar but feels a bit softer and is easier to access the power of the sponge. This in no means taking the power and spin away from the Genextion, it is just easier to access compared to the D05. The dual sponge took me a bit to adapt to (properly never full did to be honest) as I found it performed very differently depending on how hard you hit the ball. I think this is the purpose of it, and it will be suitable for some people and not others.

People say it is the upgrade to the very good G1 and I would agree with this. It is definitely faster, more powerful and has a higher spin ceiling. I think it is safe to say it is a high-end rubber that performs like one.
