Morning all, newbie to the site.
Played for a few years in the past, but now my 10 year old daughter is showing an interest, we are thinking of buying an outdoor table.
I'm UK based, and I've pretty much decided on a minimum of a 5mm top layer.
Costco here have the Butterfly Premium 5 table on offer for £430, down from about £580 I think, which seems like a stunning deal. Our budget is around the £500 mark.
Whilst researching the model I found an ebay seller who purports to have more than 10 for sale, and it looks like 6 have already been sold, and they are selling for less than £300.
The description is saying everything is brand new, no returns or issues, but I'm unsure whether to take a punt on it.
Are 'fake' tables a thing?
The pictures in the advert are all press pictures so tell me nothing, and I have sent them two messages on ebay, plus an e-mail message but had nothing back so far.
I'm not sure whether to take the risk, I'm assuming if it is a scam I can get my money back from my credit card company or ebay or paypal if I pay through them, but if a damaged/incomplete/fake item comes out, the hassle factor will go up hugely.
Would appreciate peoples experiences.
