Ovtcharov ALC vs other similarly constructed blades

I remembered Dima himself saying that his personal blade has a thicker core compared to other innerforce style blades. The question, any distinct difference for those who have used the Dima ALC and other innerforce style blades?

It's very fast and stiff compare to other IF blades.

I have a practice partner who plays with Tenergy on Ovtcharov ALC. When I try it, it kinda feels like a outer ALc blade.

Ovtcharov ALC is 6.2mm thick. It's about 0.2-0.4mm thicker than other ALC blades. ​

It's a controllable yet fast blade. Its thickness = less flex = suitable to those playing close to the table. It also means it suits BH-dominant playing style.

I don't know about controllable but it's definitely hard and fast.

My 2300 friend kinda regrets buying it for these reasons.

You're better off with your 968, which Dima used before when with Donic!

How is it compared to 968? I have a Donic Original no 1, which Donic said he used when he was with them. So I’m just curious to know. Don’t worry, I won’t buy any Bty blade though lol

Yep it feels really stiff and hard. Some people call it glassy.
Tried it and did not like it one bit.
Part of the reason I didn't like it was the larger head size.
