Penhold bat weight

I play RPB and to be honest the weight isn't that much of an issue, I know penholders that play in my league that shave their blade handles etc to make it lighter and tbh it just wrecks the blade. If you are looking to have a lighter set up then I imagine go for a lighter blade more than anything because if you are looking to use thicker rubbers that will add the weight on and also Chinese rubbers pile on the weight. Another tip is to have a thinner RPB rubber that's fairly soft so you get enough dwell time to perform the stroke effectively hope this helps. I think my total set up weight is about 180-190g due to me using H3 FH and also HL5 for blade.

I used Maplewood V and rosewood XO, and I play RPB style too. I would say go for the lighter blade. Since I switched from Maplewood to rosewood, my FH/BH switch is a lot quicker, and my FH recovery time is faster too. Preferable, you want a racket weigh around 75g-85g. I would personally recommend Stiga Intesiy NCT,Stiga Rosewood V or stiga Rosewood XO.
