In one of my training session with my trainer came to me and he recommended me to use harder rubbers. He says that I probably will be better off with harder rubbers, because i use a lot of physical strength in spinning the ball.

Currently I'm using T80 max on fh and xiom vega pro on bh on a dhs hurricane long 3 blade. I'm now thinking of xiom pro ( haven't decided 4 or 5) or dhs hurricane 3 max on fh. I know it will be a huge gap between de T80 and the mentioned rubbers. Especially the hurricane 3, because this is not a tension rubber. The xiom pro are tension rubbers and therefor a bit similar. But not that bouncy than tenergies.

What I like to know is:

1. For which kind of player should hard rubbers serves?
2. What do you think of xiom pro 4 or 5 as a substitute for T80?
3. What do you think of a H3 boosted with falco long booster as substitute for T80?
4. What do you think of H3 unboosted as a substitute for T80?

Thanks in advance!

I can answer #3 and #4.
3. H3 boosted with falco long is no where close to being a T80 sub.
4. Unboosted H3 is even further from T80.

On the forehand, you will have to change quite dramatically if you make the switch. The switch
may be beneficial though. You won't be pulling your punches anymore, and your stokes will improve
after a couple months with H3. Train unboosted to get a full understanding.

I play with T80 on FH and SpinArt on BH. Spinart is one of bty hardest rubbers and the tackiest one. But it doesn't feel so different to me to T80. More spin more control, spees almost the same except only when hitting flat the ball. I use short stroke for my BH near the table, I try to play more like girls on this side (liu shiwen has spinart on bh)
