I have spoken with the supplier and the official response is......

It’s not speed glue – it’s original bat making glue and contains solvents but they dissipate after 72 hours and pass in test boxes.

So all good ?

Well, not actually. That sounds like a nice story, but if it expanded your sponge, it has VOCs in it which, technically means it is against the rules and if it has expanded your sponge there is a certain amount of a speed glue effect. Perhaps not as much as some of the glues that get called "Speed Glue". But enough for you to feel the effect.

And the "original" non-speed glue, glues were also banned which is why TT companies sell water based glues.

All that being said, the companies assessment of how long it will take for the VOCs to be gone would be true for regular speed glue too. So, if the tournament is next week, regardless of how much solvent is in the glue and whether you want to call it speed glue or not, nobody will know that you used glue that is against the strange and unenforceable rules or not since the VOCs will be gone.
