Get a Tibhar, Yasaka or Stiga blade, seriously... everyone underrates Tibhar here but they are by far the N°1 choice for clubs here in Europe when it comes to build a first non pre-made bat for beginners. Tibhar IVL or Patrick Chila if you want something a tad faster. You'll keep it for years before switching.
More or less the same price for both, and then yeah put some entry level rubbers with good grip and control on them, Mark V is outdated now as any of those 70's to 90's rubbers, really low throw, low arc, not enough grip. Good for flat hitters but that's pretty much all. Yeah DHS is ok then for beginners, always on sale here and there so you could get insane low prices on the Hurricane 3 Neo series.
