Remove old glue or just keep it?

I recently bought a new rubber and I was wondering since I do not want to waste a lot of time removing the old glue which is 1 layer both on rubber and blade of speed glue I used as I didn’t have any normal glue. Will it affect the performance of the rubber and the blade itself? (To A New Blade)

thanks.

Obviously it's gonna affect performance, it's gonna be stiffer, have worse feeling, dwell and be less elastic.

Don't use speed glue, it's better to wait and give them to your coach to remove the old glue and then fix them with normal water based glue.

Sometimes if the layer is thin and even on the rubber, you can ignore it, add another thin layer and glue it down. The problem is with the blade, always remove old glue from blades.
