Since this thread is the top result when googling this topic I wanted to add some more info for people who were unfortunate enough to spill glue on the topsheet.
Glue somehow onto about 40% of the surface of the topsheet of my Battle 2 rubber. The glue was relatively fresh (a few minutes) when I tried to remove it by rubbing it away with my fingers/hand. But it just wouldn't come off at all. I put the rubber away thinking that it was ruined for good. This was over a week ago.
Today I pulled it and took and tried again and now the glue is coming off. It takes a lot of work but the glue is visibily coming off whereas no amount of effort had any effect previously.
So at least for my combination of rubber and glue (I used DHS No. 15) it looks like waiting for a couple of days until the glue has fully cured is necessary before attempting to remove it from the topsheet.
