Hello everyone! Andrea here 🙋♂️ . I‘m excited to share two new blades in the SANWEI TWO FACE series, both designed for defenders, but with totally different personalities.
If you enjoy defence, blocking, or switching up your game with surprise counterattacks, you should love them.🤔
SANWEI TWO FACE ALC
TWO FACE ALC is for modern two-way defenders who like to switch sides and attack on the fly.💥 It’s built with two distinct faces.
The backhand side (defensive side) has a premium black walnut outer ply and a thicker wood core to dampen the ball – heavy topspin loops just sit in the blade and can be blocked or chopped with pinpoint accuracy. The forehand side (offensive side) has an Arylate-Carbon (ALC) laminate and a Hinoki veneer with a thinner core, which gives a lively rebound and extra “second speed” for fast drives and powerful counter-loops.
In practice, that means you can chop or block comfortably with one face, then flip the blade and punish the ball with speed on the other. This asymmetrical design (with a 60:40 defense-to-offense core ratio) really suits players who like to use different rubbers or styles on each side and change up the tempo of the rally.
SANWEI TWO FACE Soft Punch
Two Face Soft Punch is a pure balsa defense blade built for passive blockers and choppers. It has a thick AAA-grade balsa core (about 14 mm) that feels almost spongy under the ball.
Incoming shots (smashes, heavy loops, etc.) are absorbed by the soft balsa heart, so your blocks and chops come back with a really steady, controlled touch.
We’ve topped it with a dyed limba veneer and added Koto and Spruce layers for extra control and feedback, and the result is a blade that slows the game down and keeps the ball exactly where you want it. There’s still enough rebound so it won’t completely deaden your punches, but for most of your passive game, it feels very forgiving. If you like to play away from the table and place heavy blocks or chops into tricky spots, the Soft Punch will feel right at home.💪
Each blade features a special thin handle that gives you a comfortable grip and less hand fatigue during long sparring sessions. We developed these blades based on feedback from players like you, and we're proud of the performance of each blade. Soft Punch lives up to its name for its "velvety soft" defensive feel, while ALC stands out for combining two professional blades in one racket.
