Hi all, I am interested in knowing the hardness of different tensor rubbers and also what is a good hardness for BH rubbers. I would like to know about Rozena and Dynaryz inferno in particular as those are what I've played with but any rubber hardness is welcome.
47d is pretty standard for a lot of people, and should suit most people. I personally think 50d feels better and more stable.

55d is great for strong forehand loopers.

That number isn’t the whole truth, it is about the sponge. The topsheet is also part of the rubber feeling. A hard rubber with a soft topsheet may feel softer than a rubber with a softer sponge but harder topsheet.

Most ESN rubber would have their hardness listed on the packaging or easily found on the internet, or if you are a tech-geek, then just buy a durometer and test it yourself. Durometer are not expensive.

The conventional wisdom is to pair a BH rubber that is softer than the FH. What is a good hardness for BH is very subjective and individual. Basically is up to you. However a 42/45 range would suit most player and it seems to he to be in the goldilock zone. Again, it is very subjective.

Rozena hardness is around 44-45 on the ESN or Shore O scale. Not sure about Dynaryz as I have never use that one before.

It depends.

40- is considered super soft
40 soft
42,5 medium soft
45 medium
47,5 medium hard (my preference)
50 hard
50+ extra hard

But it's more complicated than that, feel is a combination of sponge type (porous/solid/etc), hardness and elasticity, and topsheet tension, elasticity and hardness. They all give different feeling to the ball and different people like different stuff.

For example a g1 feels significantly softer than a v15 extra. Same hardness sponge, but the g1 just has a much softer and nicer topsheet.

I used to love 40/42,5 on both sides, then 50+ on fh and 42,5 on bh, and now 47,5 on both sides or 50+ on fh and 47,5 and below on bh.

Start with 45 that is the standard and go from there. I think rozena is around 45, else go with bluefire m2, tried and true.
