ITTF have now prepared some binding directives for manufacturers regarding technical data to be printed on rubber's packaging and sponge.
This is to answer the reiterated complaints by customers about impossibility to know a real value of sponge hardness. The Shore A, Shore O, Shore D, Аsker scales still may be found on different products without a clear indication of the actual scale in use.
ITTF took the situation with all due attention and bound manufacturers to only use an uniform hardness scale, that is Shore A and Shore O.
