Shenzhen University Table Tennis Club (Chinese: 深圳大学乒乓球队) — professional table tennis club from Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. The club belongs to Shenzhen University (abbreviation: deep, English: SZU) and was founded in August 2016 jointly by Shenzhen University and Guangdong Table Tennis Team.
The team’s home arena is Yuanping Gymnasium (元平体育馆), a sports hall at the Yuehai Campus, Shenzhen University, where the team plays its home matches. Approximate capacity — 2,200 spectators.
Currently, the head coach of the club is Gao Ying.
In October 2016, the team debuted in CTTSL. In December 2020, Shenzhen University TTC won the women’s group CTTSL title for the first time. In the following years — 2021, 2022, and January 2024 — the team lost three consecutive finals to Shandong Luneng Team, finishing as runner-up.
In December 2023, Shenzhen University TTC defeated Shandong Luneng Team 3:2, winning the women’s group CTTSL title for the second time. As of December 2023, the team holds 2 championship titles and 4 silver medals.
The club uses the “University – Professional Team – Competition Operations” model, creating a system for athlete development through the integration of sport and education.

The Shenzhen University Table Tennis Club is the first sports organization independently registered in Guangdong Province. The club actively developed professional training in table tennis, high-level professional leagues, and elite athlete development, combining sport and education, achieving notable results.
In 2016, the team debuted in the China Table Tennis Super League (CTTSL). As a newcomer, they finished 5th in their first season. The team pioneered the university sports professional club brand, organized top-level competitions with university characteristics, and contributed to innovation in the development and reform of the sports industry in Shenzhen. Compared to other universities and colleges competing professionally, Shenzhen University has unmatched resources.
During development, special attention was given to brand promotion targeting faculty and students. In the 2017-2018 season, management continued to leverage university resources, actively integrating sport and education elements, fully combining top-level competitions and campus life, creating a multi-level stage for all faculty and students to participate. Club management also strengthened the influence of the country’s first professional college sports club brand and continued exploring new pathways for sports development.
Each year, the team improved results: 5th place in the debut 2016 season, 3rd in 2017/2018, and silver medalists in 2018/2019.
In December 2020, Shenzhen University TTC won the CTTSL women’s group title for the first time. In 2021, 2022, and January 2024, the team consecutively lost finals to Shandong Luneng Team, finishing second.

Famous players
Since its founding in 2016, the team has included world champions Chen Meng, Sun Yingsha, Kuai Man, and Wang Yidi. The 2018 Youth World Champion Qian Tianyi played one season, and 2018 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals finalist He Zhuojia. Additionally, foreign players include Ng Wing Lam (Hong Kong) and Miu Hirano (Japan).
