Hello,

I want to upgrade my fh rubber. I like the feeling of big dipper, but would love something a bit faster and maybe spinnier.

What are my options?

Is 729 Battle 2 Gold or LAC similar in feeling/playstyle to Big Dipper?
What about Big Dipper 40, Big Dipper IV and Big Dipper Pro?
Are they good? Are they worth trying?
I heard rumours that they are worse than normal Big Dipper 38.

Big thanks in advance

Imo, Big Dipper 38 is already a spinny rubber on its own. Maybe it's the SALC blade that is heading the setup to more speed-oriented rather than spin-oriented play?

B2G and LAC are very different in their feeling to Big Dipper, I would say their topsheet is way stiffer and are more suited to "power shots" instead of spin play.
The only rubber that surely has more spin than Big Dipper is Hurricane 3 Neo, but it requires a different technique, so it probably won't fit.

Honestly i dont care that much about more spin. Spin from from Big Dipper is enough, but something faster would be awesome with similar feeling.
Yinhe Jupiter 3 Asia 39 is spinnier, harder and more controllabe in my opinion
How about "the feeling" of playing with it?

What about 37,38,39,40 degree Jupiter 3 Asia? What are their diffrences?

Check out 729 - Battle III. It's really nice. LOKI - Rxton VII and IX are also good Chinese rubbers with a bit more elastic top sheet.

729 - Presto Max Spin or Speed are untacky rubbers with superb looping properties. They are more euro-kind of rubbers than Big Dipper. Check out these as well.

not much of a difference between them tbh, except 37 and 38 have almost no tack, harder versions have a little harder sponge and more tack

Wrong, LAC has at least as much spin as BD. So does Jupiter 3, which is slower than Big Dipper. And I found BD 38° and LAC very close. BD is harder, 1/2° more according to the measurements I made.

Then LAC is pretty good, but it has way less spin than Big Dipper, although it's pretty good on flat hits. And its block is way better than of Big Dipper. However, the feeling of LAC is very different to Big Dipper, especially when it comes to topsheet--Big Dipper is much more elastic.

Jupiters are fairly logical in their hardness--the harder means more powerful but also requires more effort to execute shots. The only exception is the J3A 38 version, which is somehow noticeably bouncier than the rest. The downside of Jupiter is the need to boost; the topsheet is spinny and just excellent, while the sponge is a bit dead and requires "resurrection" by booster.

Depends on which spin you mean. With proper shot execution, LAC produces good spin. But without perfect positioning, when you can only use your wrist, LAC spin is much worse. The "ease of spin creation" category is really what made me ditch the rubber.
Loki owes you a good buck for promoting LAC incessantly tho :D

Thank you, for respond

Can you compare Big Deeper 38 to Big Deeper Pro 41 that you have in your profile?

If you like Big Dipper on FH, stick with it but try the H40 version. Its plenty fast and the harder sponge supports bigger hits better.

In my experience BD38 is great for control and spin, less good for speed because it's soft enough to absorb some energy on impact.

If BD H40 isn't fast enough try Jupiter 3 Asia, H40 or H41. It's a little faster but will still feel familiar moving from BD.

Battle 2 and LAC are slower than BD.

I think your best option is to boost

Yep. Big Dipper Pro 41deg a totally different rubber compared to Big Dipper 38deg. Slow and hard as a brick without boosting. Top sheet has good tackiness and looks and feels more like the DHS Hurricane Prov/Nat versions top sheet. The original Big Dipper 38deg is a easy to play, semi-tacky, soft rubber compared.

You are the one and only Loki Arthur China ambassador.
I'm also a Loki Arthur China advocate.

Played with maybe 8 different FH rubbers and LAC is clearly the best for me so far. Helps that I haven't gotten a bad sheet yet *fingers crossed*
