Well I wanted to try something different from the very well established Limba inner fibre archetype, so I got this Verawood Inner fibre (klc) blade to test. The composition is Verawood - ayous - KLC - Ayous core

I was wondering whether it would feel stiff because of the darkwood, or would it feel soft due to the inner fibre.

Turns out it is waaay softer than I was expecting. Apparently the inner fibre design has a much bigger impact on the feeling than the surface wood.

Compared to limba blade, does have a slightly crisper feeling because of the darkwood.

Also the overall speed is not very high. I feel its slower than my Stuor Harimoto and Sanwei F3 pro. I guess the klc is slower than other carbon layers.

I don't know. It depends on your financial situation. If you can flip it for double the price, yeah sell it!

I tend to hold onto all my blades. It is just that I "might" like it better later. For softer blade, I woud tell myself, ok, I will just put Tenergy on it later on when I am a better player and more consistent. For faster blade, I would tell myself, well, no issues; once my techniques are more consistent, it will be a powerful weapon for me. So I have a huge collection of blades by now.

Also I feel bad selling to my friends. I don't buy expensive expensive blades (my two most expensive blades are Nittaku Acoustic carbon and Viscaria and they are $160-$180 blades; they are not like $350 blades). So when I "sell" it to my friend, I pretty much give it away for free. I might as well keep the blades and enjoy them more.

By the way, I still owe you a review on Yinhe 970xxA blade. I have just been busy testing out different blades. I like the Stuor Viscaria clone. It feels pretty solid, like the real thing. Stuor Harimoto clone and Sanwei F3 pro are indeed slow but I like slower carbon anyway. And slow carbon can always be fixed with a couple sheets of Tenergy.

Yinhe V-14 pro does not feel anything like Viscaria. It is a bit on the slow side as well.

Lemuria ZJK is fast but I like the control. Yinhe 970xxA blade seems to be solid, slower than Lemuria ZJK.

Lemuria Lin ALC and Sanwei CC are still naked without any rubber on them.

I am waiting for a shipment of soft ESN rubbers to arrive so I can test the blades properly.

Overall, I like Lemuria ZJK the best but I need to test the blades more.

I still like my Gambler Blackout carbon. It is a bit slower than Lemuria ZJK. By contrast, Gambler Fire Dragon Fast and Gline are very fast. Gambler Vector Speed is another blade I really like, slightly slow than Blackout. Gambler Fire Drago is fast and feels bulky. The weight distribution is a bit off because when I weigh the blade and its set-up, it is not super heavy.

Anyway, I will make a more complete post another day.

Yeah. It's not the price, it's more the affinity for the blade itself.

I'm not 100% sure if the blade plays well for me or not. In some ways I feel it's really good, some ways I'm not sure if its good. The feeling is way different than anything else because of the surface wood. But i'm not sure if its bad different or good different.

For sure, it most definitely must be a great blade. But
1) its out of my price range
2) the construction composition of Hayata H2 is fairly standard. I picked the Verawood blade because of the uniqueness of the construction

This is not a question relating to Table tennis , you need a psychologist . This is where i come into play, My Fee of NZ$ 185 per session is reasonable. 🤣

in this price bracket we all know that there are many surprisingly good blades to be had. I am playing in the moment with the Boer Lion , which is normally about NZ$ 20 but i got a couple for NZ$ 3,35.😁
I have my standard blade and everything else is experimental fun. At these prices I can give them away, throw them away, place them in the back of the cupboard for (maybe) later.
I do have some blades that I like or dislike in the cupboard that I can't throw away or sell, because they were expensive and nobody wants to pay the price.Bottom line: It is all in the head 🤣

Hi Tensor backhand, based on what I see, the loki arthur zlc is hinoki outer. And it is not cheap as well. Where do u read that it has a koto outer?

Hi tensorbackhand, i doubt that it is koto. The wood seems more like hinoki to me. Plus it is not written on aliexpress regarding the construction. By the way, why not peek at sanwei’s lineup? They also have unique constructions though i dont know about the materials they use. But they give good reviews on sanwei blades.

Where do you see that it looks like Hinoki? The description says Koto.

I already have 2 Sanwei blades, the CC and the F3 Pro. Both are very good.

The stripes of koto are usually not like that. Koto should have deeper grooves and or fish scales resemblance. This looks more smooth and lighter in color than koto. Just my assumption though.

Yes sanwei should be great. They have tons of different variations. The paramid is good. Im not saying loki is bad, but STUOR is worth a glance too. I had my revoldia copy and it is one of a kind.

i am eyeing this blade at the moment and couldn't really find proper reviews online. are you still playing it? the official description says it can be slow, soft and very controllable when you hit more lightly, but fast and violent if you hit hard. i was wondering if i can pair it well with something harder & sticky on FH and maybe pips on BH?
