Viscaria is too light!

Hi everyone. I was all excited about my viscaria coming, and I'm still happy I got it, but it was 82 grams! I haven't played with it yet, because I just got it a half hour ago, but I think this is odd. Everyone complains that the blade is always heavier than 90 grams, and the lighter the blade is, the less power there is. Anyone have any suggestions for if it's possible to make it heavier? Or am I stuck with that weight? Thanks.

Old Viscarias (Black Tag, or just without a serial number) used to be 90g+ = it was very rare to find one below 90g. The newer batches seen recently seem to be lighter, coming in at around 85g +- 3g, approx. You've got a lighter one, but not unusual really.

Also, does anyone know if I need to seal the blade or if it comes sealed?

Congrats! With the viscaria. Hmmm no prob with a few wt. less than 90g

80 to 85 isnt bad. Lighter blade easier for you to recoil your arm after a strong spin. Favors short strong spin..


Regarding blade sealing in my opinion if take good care of the blade use water based then no need to seal.

My super zjk zlc on catalogue it says 90g,
I had mine for 87g.. still good

What about butterfly power tape? Any suggestions on that? Should I use it?

=) each power tape wt 1 gram 5pcs = 5 grams = 87grams! it help also in saving the edge of your blade in case you accidentally bump it.
