No matter how interesting their discussions may be, they are privately held for a reason. The privacy of individuals should be respected in any setting.

I hope the people who recorded will be held accountable, a ban from all wtt events would be a good start.

The practice hall live stream is exclusive to them (but free to view). There is no leak or secret recording. The camera has been there since the beginning. Miguvideo has streamed the practice hall for other WTT events.

you never know these days
probably more camera's in there than outside.

but it seems like this isn't a WTT leak, it was just rights granted to cameras, and there was a live feed and some viewer recorded it via these "rights to live feeds"
so all privacy signed away.

I warned players about the image rights signing away when the forms were out.
basically if you go to Macau and end up going out to site seeing - even WTT has the rights to use your private photos for their personal gain, as that is part of your "tournament period"

so let me sum it up
you sign your rights away to WTT
WTT sell the rights away to 3rd parties
3rd parties open views to public.

I want to see how they wont fail in some EU privacy court.

Removing the content doesn't mean it's necessarily wrong in this day of (hypocritical) political correctness. Keep the locker room talk to, well, the locker room if the parties involved would deem it private and sensitive. The practice hall is essentially equivalent to the mixed zone. Like with the statements of FZD and CM on WTT, QD's statement also shows that he's not gone through the WTT Handbook.

This was not a WTT leak, WTT would not leak this, as they have an image to withhold. The problem is, these are 3rd party that has rights to WTT feeds, and it was picked up with microphones positioned near this conversation.

This wasn't a WTT camera crew filming a practice or some media walking around filming.
If the camera crew is walking around and picked it up by accident, then so be it, but these are permanently placed objects that are recording day in and day out and 3rd party leaked the content, because they had "rights" to use it.

Put it this way, if Dan and his TTD walked around and filmed it, I am sure he would not share it.
I also film a lot of things and do pick up things or conversations that is not appropriate to be shared.
its called moral principle but not everyone has the same view.

I am sure Wang Hao isn't happy too, so CTTA will address this issue for sure.
Would DTTB address it? maybe.

Btw, I disagree with what the players are signing (their rights away) - this is even why I support players rights.
WTT is just a business arm of table tennis (ITTF), they have too much rights and the players are not even salaried and yet signing so many things away.

Btw, Wang Hao and Qui Dang was not "practicing".
I am sure there is grounds for the media to be removed due to violation of agreements by the media leaker.

You can't have two people sitting together and talking, and having all conservation leaked and call it, the players signed for them being filmed during practice.

QD's statement with the moral highground is another typical example of 寬己嚴人/tolerant with yourself but strict with others.
