ZQH 90 with ZGR rubbers both sides, @Matt Hetherington can correct me if I’m wrongWhat Joola blade/rubbers is Liam Pitchford using now?
What kind of inner carbon blade(s) has he played in the past? I'm not too familiar with him (i.e. his equipment choices) but seem to remember that he played:From Liam’s POV can you give insight into the attributes he looks for in selection process?
From the outside looking in, he has used all types of equipment - koto & limba, ALC & ZLC, inner & outer, jap type & hybrid.
The only constant has been 7 ply and being a slim reaper!

Honestly I think it's mostly feeling based, he seems to prefer just trying things and seeing how they feel for him. I don't think he's too into the specifics of how the setup is comprised so much. From Liam’s POV can you give insight into the attributes he looks for in selection process?

Absolutely correct. And the way a Pro understands the equipment feel is far far better than how a hobby player like me judges it. It comes to practicing with the same setup again and again for countless number of hours.Honestly I think it's mostly feeling based, he seems to prefer just trying things and seeing how they feel for him. Yeah and I think over time you kind of figure out which feel you like and which you don't, for example he ruled out inner layer blades straight away and he had some initial ideas about blade weight preference and rubber hardness etc you basically have to collect as much info as you can and look at how he plays and send some different things and leave the rest up to him to pick and chooseAbsolutely correct. For me, I really cannot point out the differences which are way too pronounced with the ALC blades which I have. So it means, either they are all similar in feeling or my judgement is restricted.
I think the same case was for Vladimir Samsonov. I think it was in TTD video of him or he said it somewhere, that he doesn´t care what material the blade is, but how does it feel.Honestly I think it's mostly feeling based, he seems to prefer just trying things and seeing how they feel for him. I always feel good when getting a new setup. does that count?I think the same case was for Vladimir Samsonov. I think it was in TTD video of him or he said it somewhere, that he doesn´t care what material the blade is, but how does it feel.
