Hello!

I recently got a spinlord waran from a friend and slapped it on my old intensity nct. For the forehand I put on a slightly used vega europe, max. (edit: my bad, it's 2.0mm)

The problem is that I find it lacks grip, I'm used to bluestorm pro now and this is kind of unbearable. Another thing is that with the intensity, it simply has a too high throw and the rubber throws high as well.

What could replace it? I'm essentially looking for a grippy rubber, with a medium/high arc that is soft and very lightweight. I can't really think of anything that fits that... Any ideas?

Hi ,

You can try Andro R45, it will be a little more spinnier but faster. Also +1 for Hexer Powergrip SFX...

I've heard the f1 is pretty common in China still, I used to play with a normal f3 years and years ago, never tried the big slam.

The Desto range is the first generation of energy storage rubbers from ESN. They have a soft topsheet, medium grip and make a lot of noise when hitting. They are used a lot by beginners for their price, their ease of use and this sensation where you can feel the ball penetrate the topsheet... but for the rest it is really not great, not at all durable and they tend to change behavior after a few days / weeks.

They appeared in 2000-2001 while the Vega Europe came out 10 years later...

Glayzer is soft, light, better grip than Vega europe and relatively inexpensive compared to other Butterfly rubbers. If my memory serves me right, the weight of the 2.1 Glayzer, cut according to Korbel Sk7, was 47 grams.

I'm the guy that made the, don't buy glayzer post. I have a strong dislike for them. And they're heavy. For comparison the vega cut on the intensity is 42g.

Ah, I see. Since you have more knowledge, is there any esn rubbers that you could recommend? I've seen the ventus limber being mentioned as grippy and light, is it comparable or too old? Thanks!

First, choose the hardness carefully.
Then look for a rubber that is preferably less than 10 years old.
Then select the dynamism according to your game.

Example:
you like rubbers of medium hardness but very dynamic: Tibhar Evolution FX-D
You like rubbers that are hard but not very dynamic: Fastarc G1, Vega Pro, etc.
