i'm pretty certain some footballers even posted taking photos with Ma Long, FZD etc at the Olympics
its really isn't odd footballers,
everyone has the internet and if you dig deeper, they probably follow each other on social media too

PS, I'm not talking about some random player, I'm talking about world champions
they probably will never know the Japanese players or Taiwanese players, but world champion - they will know.
They probably even watch the Olympic finals too, and try and do those kind of shots within the team.

I am surprised you didn't know football and table tennis are very close over the years.
I'm trying to remember if ZJK also had something going on with European footballers

Ah, well I don't do antisocial media so anything going on there goes right over my head.
I was a massive football fan my whole life though until around 5/6 yrs ago (I lost interest when I stopped playing really) and never encountered any TT crossover, not that I can remember anyway.
But as I said, it was possibly on the phone media that I don't use... 🤷‍♂️

yep, they probably do the same with other Chinese sports stars too, i'm not sure
but TT wise, the footballers do play TT

very similar to USATT players with NBA players.
