Would you give your opponent a free point if the referee gave the opponent an unfair red card?

Imagine you are a pro table tennis player. In a high stakes game would you give your your opponent a free point if the referee gave the opponent a red card that you think is unfair?

It happened in the Singapore Smash match between Izaac Quek/Koen Pang vs Horacio Cifuentes and Santiago Lorenzo, where the referee red carded the Argentinians for time wasting in a close deciding game, but the Singaporean pair agreed that they weren't ready as well, so they returned a point to the pair.

Would love to know how honest or win-at-all-costs you guys are! 😂

As a professional it might not be quite be as simple as that. Some other aspects might have to be taken into consideration like ; Can I afford to lose this part of my income, or what will my sponsors think of my decision . Then of course there is the question of either respecting a decision of both the reverie and the umpire or to deliberately act against their decision.????
Just saying

Top of my head I'd say no, screw 'em, but reading the situation in the article I think that returning the point is a very fair and sensible outcome.

One, they actually agreed *and* argued with the referee to get the decision revoked.

Two, it was 5-5 before the red card, so 6-6 after they exchanged points. Going from level points to level points feels a lot better than giving away a lead, or seeing your opponent increase theirs.

Honestly, I think referees should be less stubborn about altering their decisions after additional proof and/or arguments come to light. Table tennis seems to have a particular problem with overturning decisions even when they are clearly wrong.

I think I vaguely recall seeing referees overturn decisions after the players agreed that the point was awarded wrongly on edge balls and things like that, but I can't remember specific examples.

It depends. Is it the same opponent who was serving illegally the entire match? The same opponent who kept stealing points by declaring "net" every time they could not return my serve? Is it that girl who kept reversing the score, "no, it is 8-3 in my favour"?

If I am playing Samsonov, sure.
