Just curious if this is a common problem.
I ordered a rubber in 2.3 thickness from official vendor. The package was labeled 2.3, but the print on the rubber was 2.1. I have measured it and it is 2.1, so the print on the rubber is ok.

Probably some mistake at the factory. I guess that the rubbers are made in batches so i am probably not the only one getting the wrong rubber. Dont know if the hardness is correct either.

I have noticed the vendor and there will probably be no problem to get a new one. Just curious if this is a common problem with ESN rubbers.

SAFETY FIRST.

Manufacturers all were instructed by ITTF to stop producing and marketing overly thick rubber sheets for safety reason. The upmost thickness is now limited to 3.85 мм maximum, and factory control will reject all the outliers.

Not quite the same thing, but I once got a Stiga rubber with the wrong LARC number on it - although not one made by ESN: https://www.tabletennisdaily.com/forum/topics/best-brand-over-all.22867/page-6#post-306994

I have also purchased some Nittaku rubbers (again not ESN) from XLNT sports, where the vendor had gone to the trouble of precisely measuring them and giving the correct thickness as they were different from what they were labeled as.

I guess it´s safe to say it is not a common problem, because if it happened more frequently the forums would be full of such stories.
However not all rubbers have their thickness indicated on the sponge so sometimes such mishap might go unnoticed.
