So the next big event. and this time there is no Champions event that would follow, so either you go in with full force, or you just go on holiday.

Final entry list isn't updated yet, but last year CNT won all 5 events (something they haven't plenty of recently)
The entry count is also scary, last year they had
mens: 16 players entered (9 main draw, 7 qualifications)
womens: 18 players entered (10 main draw, 8 qualifications)

so far, there is only
7 mens and 8 womens in the main draw, but I am sure wildcards will come and push CNT mens and womens both to double digits.

CNT will definitely regroup and aim to take all events.
The foreigner threats will want to make history.

This should be a great event to watch.

So I was talking with Kim Gaon (Korea) earlier, and he said he submitted a request for WTT Youth nomination wild card to the (senior) Smash.

I actually joked with him saying, 100% he won't get it, because it will go to some Chinese youth. If LSD won Sweden, maybe he would still get the wild card for sure.
Well, I hope I am wrong. He is the current no 1 seed with Felix and Oh not playing youth and these 2 are the only one ahead of him in the U19 world ranking.

On double parts - in case for those that doesn't understand how doubles pairing works for Smash, Each MA (country) can only have 1 pairing and/or up to 4 players.
For the 3rd and 4th players to play, they can only pair with another country.

I got word yesterday that few players that planned to play at China Smash later this month have had they visa's declined.....
And I heard last year, a player "planed" to take part in 3 events in China, and two of the event visa was declined, the 3rd was approved....
WTT will just do a sub without reason.

I guess these news we don't hear enough of and I believe there is nothing one can do about it.

as it is, it is already a remarkable achievement for her playing style.
we are talking one of the top choppers in the past 30 years (if we based on beating CNT players)

Smash China - probably the most difficult tournament on earth.

Don't get me started on the number of players for the respective hosts on the world ranking list at the time of entry. Sweden and Singapore are over-represented when one takes that into account.

at the end of the day, you know the most important statistic that every Westerner should know is that the West makes up 12% of the world's population in a small Global Village that we live in. The rest makes up 88%. The rest have been quite passive for the last 200 years of Western domination of world history, but the rest are waking up now and these countries will find their own ways and means of adjusting, uh, to the modern world, their own systems and so on and so forth...

One of our league matches lasted until midnight once and the tram wasn't running anymore. Me and someone else only got back home because one of our clubmates gave us a ride in his Porsche lol
