WTT in Spanish

Hello Friends,

After some months of research I have found that in the world there are 4,3M Spanish speaking table tennis players, from whom 3,3M do not speak English. It means that they don’t have access to WTT or ITTF information.

Then, I challenged WTT telling them that if my reel reaches some specific number of likes and comments, they will support creating WTT in Spanish.

Thanks for the clarification. Well, after the research I found that in the 21 countries where Spanish is the main language, the access to English educations is low. Even in countries as Mexico, where the English is close, the level of education in a second language is not higher than 50%

Sounds like a good opportunity for a spanish-speaking TT youtuber to approach WTT and do something similar to what Dan is doing with TTD, etc.

I would not have thought it would be 77% not knowing English (3.3m out of 4.3m)
I would have thought maybe 20~30% maybe

But you are right, I know some South American coaches, some of they English is not great
but then the pro players all are fluent, so I assumed it is the older gen with less English proficiency, with the younger generation okay.

I don't know if it's cause or effect, but those who are seeking international success will usually be more proficient in English.
