I recently bought an xiom Hugo tmxi pro for about £50-60 as a ‘sponsored’ player and I really like the blade feels really good but after 3 weeks of use, one of the sides of the handle has come off. The same thing happened to my old blade but I’d been using that for 3 years so it was understandable.

Anyway, I contacted my sponsor and asked what they would do and they said that they would reglue it. Is this a good thing to do?

I’ve seen people say that it can change the vibrations and feel weird, almost unusable!

Should I ask my sponsor instead to see if I can pick up another blade, same blade is out of stock so it would have to be something different, xiom tetris tmxi pro, xiom chrome xaxi.

But I really don’t want the same thing to happen again. So let me know, is this a common problem with xiom blades?

I had a Xiom ALX pro and the handle got loose and make cracking noise too. I reglued it and it seemed OK. But it got loose again and I had to reglue it with more glue this time.
I hesitate to buy any more Xiom blades now as this was one of their issues.

Why not put some trust in your sponsor, especially compared to a forum full of mostly anonymous people?

I don't get the paranoid attitude people are having with coaches, and now sponsors. Those are investing in you, why would anyone lead their investment astray?

And vice versa, if you don't have much trust in the shop, why are you accepting a sponsorship? Those deals survive on mutual benefit and respect.

Definitely reglue it yourself imo.
Changing for a different blade is going to give a different feeling anyway.

There are some blade makers in here, SDC, Hypnotic and others who, if you hit them up directly can give you the absolute correct advice on the gluing process.
In general tho a decent sanding and prep to remove the old glue from both surfaces and a small tube of good quality wood glue and you should be good.

I’m not attacking my sponsor, in fact they are incredibly helpful but I just wonder whether people have encountered problems with xiom blades
