There is no Hugo Hal enlisted in the catalogue, maybe Hugo will start using the AlX version (if not already using).
I also speculated some time ago that there were carbon like fiber visible from his blade.
I also had a confirmation from a pro player in Ochsenhausen that he was using some hybridfiber.

New Hugo series, new AI work.
And some youngster with new personal blade 🫨
Xiom Has fast low throw rubbers and a lot of products are not available for some markets.
They had bestselling blade SAL and HAL, they should put some Inner Sal, Inner Koto Sal, hinoki Sal and we all get new ej equipment for testing....
Waste of chance

Have some mixed feeling about the 2025 catalogue. First of all, I have been a fan of Xiom for a few years now. They made great blades that were on par with quality made in Japan, such as Hugo HAL or ALX 36.5. And there has been always something special about them, like the HAL which does not use carbon and is very easy to use yet powerful, or the 36.5 which played like a soft viscaria.

Xiom has removed many products from their lineup. According to a vendor, the HAL has been discontinued because of material shortage. The 36.5 lineup (both ALX and ALXi) have also been discontinued according to XIOM Europe. Its a shame, because those blades could have become absolute classics. Since I am using An Jaehyun TMXi Pro blade, I was sad to hear that that blade also got discontinued.

Now, there are four new blades under Hugo's name. As someone mentioned before, they are 'all-in' on Hugo. First of all, I am confused by the new metrics they are using. I have absolutely no clue what the new stats are supposed to mean, that is for both blades and rubbers. The new Hugo blades fill the void for discontinued products such as AJH TMXi Pro, CDS TMX Pro. But, I am not sure if they will be really the same. Hugo TMXi Pro has a smaller headsize of 158x152, and if it plays like regular TMXi instead of Pro version (160x152), it will be a big disappointment.

I also have mixed feelings about the handles. Handles of all Hugo blades and Lee Seung Soo blades all look extremely similar. Yes, it is nice if they all have the same dimensions for the handle, because it will be easy to adjust from one blade to the other. But, Xiom was always creative with designs and fancy colors. They could have put more effort instead of using the stock handle from Xiom/Andro factory in Korea.

What I like is that there are 'Lite' versions with regular headsize for LSS TMX and LSS ALX. This is needed for many players who prefer lighter blades, since rubbers are heavy nowadays. Also, since there are new ALX and ALXi blades incoming, it would make sense that 36.5 lineup is discontinued. I know that these blades are still in the catalogue, but as mentioned before, Xiom Europe told me that they are discontinued.

Lastly, I am excited for the new sticky rubbers. Vega China+ and Tau 3 are very spinny according to their metrics, and should be cheaper being part of the Vega lineup. I was initially excited for the release of Omega 8 series, but since they only sell MAX thickness in Europe, I didnt bother to order a sheet. Initially, I wanted to try the successor of the omega 7 pro on my backhand.

I am curious which blade Hugo is currently using. His handle still looked like HAL the last events, but who knows. I am interested in the Hugo TMXi Pro only if it uses the same structure as AJH TMXi Pro (thinner core, reinforced veneer between trimetrix fiber and outer veneer). And, I am interested in the Hugo ALX Pro because the 36.5 ALX played fantastic. With the new headsize of 160x152, it could be even better (more stable and powerful).

Anyway, these are my thoughts about Xiom's 2025 lineup.

Currently playing with TMXi pro and C55.

I'm interested in the C57.5, and possibly the TAU 3 and vega china+

I am really disappointed in the TMXi hugo replacement. The top ply looks like koto instead of limba, and the head size has been reduced. They kept the TMX pro, why not keep the TMXi pro as well, just without the An yaehun branding?

Not a fan of the hugo branded lenses everywhere either.

It is most likely not koto. If you look at the 4 Hugo and 2 LSS blades, they all look like having the same outer ply. That is likely because its a catalogue. imo, it is extremely unlikely that both inner-carbon style blades (new tmxi pro and alxi pro) are both koto outer ply.

And, I am fairly certain that the CDS TMX Pro is also discontinued since CDS is no longer sponsored by Xiom (I know the blade still appears in the catalogue, but so did the Hugo HAL in 2024 catalogue, and it was already discontinued at that point).

So, the new Hugo TMX Pro also has reduced headsize of 158x152, same as the new Hugo TMXi Pro. Which is a shame to me, I preferred 160x152 by alot.

I also feel like they mixed up Speed and Catapult. Like how does the Omega China, with hard sponge and and sticky surface have more catapult but less speed as the Euro. In my understanding it should be the opposite.
And how is the J&H Z the slowest in the lineup, as shown in the Chart. It is the rubber with the highest top end speed I have tried
Thats why I hate all those terminologies. Everyone understands them differnt since they mean more then just one thing

Got my hands on an Omega 8 China. 72g uncut, ~47g cut (I forgot to write this down, so take it with a grain of salt). Used it primarily on my backhand since I'm using the C55 on my forehand right now, but I'm enjoying it so far after 3-4 hours of usage. Feels more dense than my C55, but I need to break it in. The C55 took a few days to break in properly and to feel softer. The O8C I suspect is the same in this regard - it feels like a brick right now, although Xiom's guide has said this rubber has a thick topsheet.

Absolutely love it on block and counters. Drives are pretty nice paired with my H2. Arc feels the same as the C55 on loops. Pushes were odd at the beginning, but I adapted pretty quickly to not push as much energy into it. There's a very slight tackiness to it, similar to the C55, which their branding is consistent in this regard.

If I remember correctly, the 2024 info on o8cwas that it was a 52.5 degree c55. But now there is a c52.5. So whats the point of o8C if it is meant to be 52.5 degree c55? Also, I suspect j&h c series is dragon power for xiom as same hardness options. Has anyone played with one rubber from each serues?
