Vega Korea is very much a beginner - Intermediate rubber for offensive heavy players.

If you're an allround player, it'll work at all levels. I just do not recommend it on forehand, too weak for most people, low quality ball except for looping where it shines.

*Tested on TMX Pro

PS: Very high tensioned topsheet, topsheet will crack, try not to reglue often.

Thanks for the tip to not reglue the rubber to often as it's not super-cheap 😅
But are you sure the rubber is well suited for beginners?
I mean, 45° sponge hardness is quite hard for newbies I think 🤔
Also, if the topsheet is heavily tensioned as you say, I could image beginners having trouble to control the catapult effect, right?

Exactly as you said. It is not beginner friendly as @Migzkulit mentioned. Maybe on all+/off-ish blade it will play more tamer.
Before Korea, Ive been using Victas V15, a bit harder and more linear rubber. I spent 2-3 weeks to get used to faster but softer rubber. Your mileage may vary. But I would not recommend this rubber for beginner. Also, just before Korea bought used Tenergy 19, much more control compared to Korea.
Another note, I also have a little crack, so be careful when playing.

When I mean beginner's I mean for people who have only just begun training.
I assume that the person is still trying to improve.
It's like Xiom's Rozena.

If I think about it, once the tuning has gone away, it'll work for beginners in every kind of definition.
But at that point i'd give them what I used before.
Cheap Chinese rubbers that are slightly tacky.

I've used on TMX Pro, which is near to FZD Alc in performance, just more power due to weight balance, V>15, V>22 and V>20.
V>15 was better in outer but not suited for most people's backhands. It's just too difficult to activate.
V>22, is better due to the softer topsheet, "feels like 45 degrees".
V>20, It's actually solid as a forehand.

VISCARIA SUPER ALC FL / XIOM VEGA KOREA MAX / DONIC ACUDA S2 MAX
187g

Coming from Nittaku FastArc G1 Max on both sides, first 2 hours with Korea in FH, Acuda in BH. Variety of simple exercises and matches.

Vega Korea has a sticky feel to it and although it's not tacky, it's undeniably very grippy. Topsheet is rather soft, very flexible. Foam feels 45 as announced, catapult is here but very manageable, much more than I feared coming from a rather linear rubber such as the G1. I was able to push and even chop with the Korea pretty easily.

Forehand drive and topspins are stable, arc is high but pretty short which tricked me on some far-away shots. A bit less power than the G1 ofc, but very controllable. Blocking feels really good, the foam gives good dwell then launches the ball forward, very good sensation. Topspins are spinny, looping is easy but again it does not have the same kill power as the G1. When I got used to the shorter arc, counter topspin was very easy and stable. Like in blocking the rubber gives nice dwell and control then propels the ball with good quality. Very easy to add side-spin.

What I really liked is the support I got from the rubber in active blocking, as well as on balls that forced me to stretch in my forehand. Still just a 2-hour session so hard to say how I'll like it in the long run, but so far it's pretty good. Does not feel so much softer than my G1, which was my main worry. Adds a bit of dwell and control to my fast carbon blade. Flat hits are stable - a key factor given my game. Maybe a bit too safe... we'll see!

BTW, Donic Acuda S2 was a first as well for this session and OMG this rubber is amazing!!! Felt like an old friend right away. I'm an average intermediate player but I have a pretty solid and versatile backhand. Looping, blocking and pushing with S2 felt like coming home, with no less efficiency but much more reliability than with the G1. My coach recommended this rubber for my backhand because it pairs really well with Carbon ALC blades

I love Donic Acuda S2 on my backhand. I sold a used set-up to a clubmate that has STN on the forehand and Donic Acuda S2 pink on the backhand. So I just ordered, from TT11, Donic Acuda S2 pink and purple. I will install them at some point in the future!

6 hours with the rubber now. The shorter arc provides reliable and safe parallel loops and topspins close to the table, which is great for my game. I still need to get used to the bounciness when serving, especially on long and fast serves. But all around pretty pleased, I was starting to get frustrated to make many unforced errors with the G1 and I feel my topspins are more reliable with Vega Korea.

20+ hours and some tournament matches with the Xiom Vega Korea rubber in the FH.

Now that I'm used to it I can say my FH game improved notably vs when I was using G1, thanks to a feeling of improved safety and control in my shots (and maybe a bit of personal improvement?). To me the rubber is pretty versatile and fits on my FH - I've seen several players recommending it more as a BH rubber but on my SALC blade it's powerful enough in the FH for my level of play.

I tried yesterday a few shots with the Vega Korea in my BH, switching from the Acuda S2, and it was much less sensitive to incoming spin and globally had a much shorter trajectory compared to S2. Less spin as well.

Only remaining issue is serve, for which I was more comfortable and efficient with G1. Also the rubber still smells booster quite a lot so I really wonder how it will perform in 2 months.

How are you enjoying your Vega Korea after this time? I'm considering it for my backhand on my Harimoto SALC to give me some more control over the Stiga Mantra Pro, despite enjoying the rubber very much.

Hows the durability and the performance after the booster "dried out"?

says forehand go brbrbrrrr
My previous BH rubber the Vega Korea, I use the DNA Platinum M now. It gave me really good control and spin, but i lacked confidence with it and found it would bottom out on me. I use the Plat now, it's very fast and spinny, even more with my blade. I loved the Korea when i was developing my backhand, but it felt like i needed something harder and better.
