  1. how comfortable are you with hard (53+) rubber on your backhand?

I used hard rubbers for my backhand, one was 50 degrees and the other 53. I discovered the 53 was way too hard for my game. Not much grip at all. But great on punch shots. There is a lot of power with 53-degree rubber. Now the 50-degree with almost perfect, I could loop, and create good serves...
  2. Truls Moregardh Set to play in Chinese Super League

Truls is struggling a bit in this league...lol. Not easy! I was watching one of his teammates play and Truls seemed to be distracted, perhaps admiring the other players as he was standing behind the opposition's team. I thought it was a little disrespectful, he should have been cheering for his...
  3. The Players In China's Super League

I know about the super league but know so little about the details so bare with me with all these questions...lol...While it is easy to tell how the top players in China would qualify for this league, how do the other players qualify for playing in this league? Also, how do non-Chinese players...
  4. How is the women's game different from men?

One good example of the different games men and women play, you should watch mix doubles. Usually men tend to have more spin on the ball than women. But from my own experience, women tend to play closer and would use speed more than spin.
  5. Donic Extension AC or OC

What kind of rubber are you using? Is it good for close to medium range from the table?
  6. Butterfly Waging Price War?

That is great news, a cut in price makes it more affordable for more people to play and the ones who use it may buy more of it because it's cheaper.

  8. Worlds Largest Table Tennis Event | Arena Tour

Loved the video, You picked the right guy to start out with your interview of the players:) I know him, it was Aaron Avery from my state (Wisconsin) and on rare occasions, he comes to my club. I wasn't surprised that he was at the tournament, he has played in so many other table tennis...
  9. Nittaku premium ball

I have played with Nittaku Premium balls since last year, it's the most durable plastic ball on the market, However, it is not as fast as the previous 40mm balls nor is the spin better. Like all plastic balls, the balls are slightly slower with a slight reduction in spin. With my old rubber M2...
  10. Donic Persson World Champion 89 what you guys think?

I've been playing with it for a number of weeks. Not as fast as my current blade, but this one has good control. I like the fact it's light which is hard nowadays to find a blade that has speed at 85 grams. Most that have this kind of speed is 88 to 93 grams. I was looking for a second blade...
  11. STIGA Mantra Soft, Medium & Hard Rubber Review

  12. Everything you need to know: ITTF Presidency 2017!

If I could vote, I would vote for Jean Michel Saive...To have a great player who could lead the ITTF would be truly amazing rather than having a long standing bureaucrat lead. Change is needed in the ITTF!

  15. Stiga Airoc Astro S or Tenergy 05

I love Astro S, for my backhand...It has a good combination of speed, spin and control. I also love M2 from the Bluefire series for my forehand. Both these rubbers are good options besides Tenergy 05 which I think is a little on the slow side compared to other rubbers.
  16. Which poly ball should you choose?

I have tried a wide range of plastic balls, I like Nittaku 3-Star Premium 40+ ball for it's durability and once you get used to it's hardness, it's not bad. But the plastic ball I found to be the most intriguing is Butterfly's G40+ which is the fastest among the other plastic balls I used, and...
  17. Nexy's Akrasia

I also noticed the blade plays the best against those who love to attack with the loop. I found that the guy with the short pips was good, I think being that the blade is not so bouncy and I could vary spins more easily which threw the pips guy off...lol But not as good as playing against an...
  18. Nexy's Akrasia

My blade finally arrived and for the first time today, I played with it...My first reaction, the blade is slow compared to the one I use now. Perhaps it is because the blade is not that bouncy. However, it's has great power, looping with it is fun, even flat shots. Blocking is incredible. I had...
  19. Slowing down your play

Slowing down and not rushing yourself puts more pressure on your opponent. There will be times when you need to go faster, but it all depends on who you are playing. I played a guy a couple of weeks ago, he called me a defensive player, in all my years of playing, I never was called a defensive...
  20. Which would be a better set up?

Here is the deal...You loved timo boll spirit blade, and now you have a plan on getting it, you love hurricane 3 but not sure if you should stay with MX-P on both sides. I would go with your passion, hurricane 3 on your forehand and MX-P on your backhand! Good luck!! :)
