Item details

I've been using Dynaryz AGR on my forehand for around a year and a half, switched from Golden Tango as I wasn't sure if using the harder tacky rubber was actually working for my gamestyle.

Quick disclaimer - I actually work for JOOLA, BUT I am going to give my best honest and well rounded review of this rubber.

Range
So the rubber is 50 degree hardness which means it fits into that medium-hard category. It has a decent amount of range even further back from the table and you can get a decent amount of power with it. It has a good level of proficiency for a wide range of attacking shots from third ball attack to counterlooping close or further back from the table.

Spin Generation
When it comes to spin generation the topsheet has a decent level of grip, but less so than the Dynaryz ZGR and ZGX rubbers and even the new Inferno rubber. I wouldn't say the level of spin is extreme but it's reasonable. You can get a good level of spin on serve and first opening but the grip quality can make it tougher to keep the ball down on stronger counterattacks against a heavier spin ball. You have to give a good bite to the short push contact and angle side a bit more to keep the ball low and with rotation.

Trajectory
The Dynaryz AGR is a relatively low trajectory rubber, this means it's more focused for direct power players and less so for players looking for higher arc and larger safety windows. You need a decent level of technical precision and the ability to adjust your strokes to use this rubber well. It is also important to find the right blade combination to suit the trajectory and your playing style. A softer blade could potentially improve your safety windows. I had it paired with a stiffer blade the Zhou Qihao Hyper ARY-c 90, so everything is quite focused on direct contact for the ball.

This rubber is a popular choice for a number of the JOOLA sponsored pro players for both forehand and backhand as it fits into that category of being on the firmer side without being considered a 'hard' rubber. While I have enjoyed using it for a little while now I'm looking at changing probably to the new Dynaryz ZGX because of the grippier topsheet and also the ability to generate more arc on the ball.

I personally have a game style while relies more on topspin arc and having a good safety over the net, for me that made AGR sometime difficult for me to play with and so have decided to look for a different forehand rubber.

Hope this review helps give you a good well-rounded view of how the Dynaryz AGR plays and who it might be better suited to.
