2x Xiom Omega IV Asia MAX

An outstanding product.

I purchased this blade last week and i must say im surprized. Tried Stigas and Btys powerhouses such as Clipper, RW5, TBALC,Primorac Carbon, etc...but none assembled so well the Carbospeed characteristcs.

Tons of speed. Lightning fast. Drives and hits are top tier. You can easily place the ball even close to the table.
Loops are quite tricky due medium dwell you must make a quick movement and use wrist otherwise will hit net or overtable.
The throw is linear compared to most blades. There have to be spin in the ball to it produces an arc.
Paired with Xiom Omega IV Asia short game is a piece of cake. Pretty dead rubber if you dont engage sponge but once you do it has monstruous spin and control. Flicks are quite good when movement is quick.
3+ meters from table is easy, top spin rallies are menageable, id say easy but i lack the technique so wont go further.

In short :
Amazing blade. Easy to use.I dont know if i paired to exact holy grail rubber for this blade but despite slow strokes doesnt work that well, i cant think any drawback.
Finishing and Craftmanship top tier. The handle is so beaultiful that i feel bad to have to dirty it. :/
The blade is so well balanced. Even with medium++ weight rubber. 44g i think.
Price. Ohhh the price. Bought for only 60USD.
Not for lazyass strokes. You must go for every shot. Feet, knee, hips, back, shoulder, arm, wrist, blade!
Very controlable short game. Tricky close to the table due linear throw.

This is such an outstanding blade. I've played with Tenergy 05 in forehand and Tenergy 64 in backhand. This blade is very nice for backhand, you can block, attack well with Tenergy 64 and Spinny, speed forehand topspin with Tenergy 05; and great feeling and control in both hand. Its handle is just a bit small.

This blade overall is a wonderful piece of craft. Not only is this blade pretty cheap at a value of 34-52 dollars depending on the website, but this blade offers really good control. This blade can basically help you direct the ball to any direction you want with enough control and speed to do so. The good this about this blade is that it is not to fast where you can't control your shorts, but at a medium-fast speed to control your shots well. The only con is when you play with the blade away from the table. This blade requires a bit more power/energy on your strokes in order to the ball on the table. Overall, I recommend this blade to anyone that looking for a cheap, not to fast, controllable, and named after a professional blade.

As everyone mention, the feeling. The feeling with this blade is amazing, i cant describe.

Sweetspot is almost entire blade. Mine is 87g.
Fast, medium/hard bit of flexure.
Control is the best ive tested. 9.5 for sure.

I use with Rakza7 max both sides.
I can produce monstruous spin in both slow loop or loop drive shots. My serve is very damaging. The only problem i have is flat hits but i think its more due technic/rubber than this beautiful blade.

I recommend to anyone who like to play until 3m of table, more than that i think will lack some power.

I bought this blade to re educate my strokes. Previsouly i used Rosewood V with 2 Rakzas, way too fast to my level.

I paired this blade with two Mark V AD. Yea, it is slow, reaaly slow. But that is just what i wanted. This combo has a really low throw, i mean it, so every shot i have to do the proper technic to hit the other side.

Spin i think its low but mainly due the rubber. only if i dig deep in the sponge i can produce good spin. Thats good for my strategy because oponent is getting used to you flat and low balls and then you make a spinny slow loop. Due its elasticity i can make really fast backhand swings, being my primary kill shot.

It is awesome for blocking topspins but tricky to do so with flat hits. Sweet spot is medium.

Overall id rate this blade as 8, as long as you are a newplayer/developing intermediate. You must go for every shot, you will have a good control. And its light, mine came as 77g. With rubber i think its around 140g.

i`m playing with it now about for about one month and coming directly from Yasaka rakza 7 soft.
So lets start.
At first ... rubber is glued to custom off+ carbon blade with balsa core.

It has a lower throw then rakza 7 soft , and it looks like more direct rubber. But The loops when you brush it are more open then rakza 7 soft. Control on loops is a little bit lower than yasaka rakza 7 soft.
It is great for opening loops , perfect for smashing and flicks, perfect for short chops with excellent placement (i dont do chops from distance ,so i can not tel how it goes in this case) .
It is about 20% softer and 10% faster than tenergy 80Fx .
Great spin if you wish to spin.
Durability looks ok ... the sponge has larger pores but smaller than the one on Rasant grip, short on net is just perfect.
One of the best Bh rubber so far for me

I won a couple of Calibra lt sound in a club tournament so i thought i could make a review on them. They feel pretty different from my Tenergys but still plays very good. I loved the high sound and the feel in the rubbers it must be one of the loudest rubber i have played with.

The control was very nice, spin is awesome, and speed is good for an allround to offensive game style. The sponge was very soft, softer then i was used with but i still like the arc i got on the ball. i recommend them to players who prefer soft rubbers. Can anyone answer on the difference between Calibra lt sound and Calibra, is it just the hardness of the sponge?

I tried this rubber, when looking for replacement of Tackiness Chop 2, but only available in 2.15 mm.

I have it shaved to 2.0 mm, and voila,

I can chop any ball with it, and the return flat but spinny. :)

One problem though, the launch very low for spinny rubber.
I expect 60 deg closed face to keep the ball low at looping, here I only need 25 deg :)

  • Speed?
I am using this rubber on bh on my Hurricane Hao III with Tenzone Ultra at fh. ~
Wether speed is a con or not depends a bit on the person and blade. Though thinking the very top players of the world, offensive players might not want to use this just because of it's speed. With that said, in a matter of generating the most spin to it's amount of speed, I don't think a rubber can beat it. As mentioned in the other reviews, it would probably fit the best on a pretty hard bat. I'm using Hao III in my case, which is not beast hard, but I think it's just hard enough to fit the rubber.
P7 is the kind of non-tensor rubber, that trully feels like a really (really, seriously, really) good ordinary rubber. By ordinary, I do not mean ordinary by any means, but when you try it, you will understand what I'm saying. It does obviously not have the tensor feel, nor is it like tenergy and mark v is inferior to this rubber.
Say, if you liked Mark v, and want an upgraded spin/feel wise and a bit faster than the mark v while not being as fast as a Tenergy (but Yogi's explenation might be more accurate, I only have experience with Tenergy 80) and inferior to none in spin capability (while still being pretty insensitive to incomming spin) this is the rubber for you. It also has a lot of gears and I'd say it's the ultimate all rounder. ~ For more detailed info please look at Yogi_bear's review, lol.

Pros
  • Speed!
  • Rebound!
  • Throw Angle!
Cons
  • A bit less spin.
This is the fastest rubber I've tried, there might be faster but I've heard it's slightly faster than Tenergy 05. In this review I'l majorly compare it to my former Donic Bluefire Jp-01 Turbo. Also, I bought my sheet of Tenzone Ultra from TT-sport*de on ebay, which I am 100% certain is genuine and for a price of 31 GBP (48 USD), and only 7 usd shipping, it is a very good deal. I'm using this on my Hurricane Hao III C-pen on fh, with Adidas P7 bh.

First of, the Top Sheet is not identical, but very similar to that of Bluefire Jp-01 Turbo, you can notably feel the similarities due both being Tensor rubbers. But, Tenzone Ultra's major difference lies in the sponge which makes it rather different, and in this case faster with a tiny bit less spin, which I will come back to. Now, one of the very few issues I had with the Jp-01 Turbo was of how the ball sank into the rubber a few milliseconds more than I wanted and when I countered heavy top spin, it was hard to make it not go too far, if I were close to the table. I'd might have been able to overcome it and I was in good way of doing so, but this rubber made the difference/improvement I was looking for almost perfectly according to my game equipment wise, the con is the spin being slightly inferior. Although this rubber is indeed faster than Jp-01 Turbo, the ball has a faster rebound but drops a bit faster than jp-01 Turbo in it's throw angle therefore at big advantage, Close-medium distance from the table, thinking loop/top spins. Further away from table lobbing would probably be more comfortable than looping, due the more sudden drop in the throw angle, opposed to jp-01 Turbo (think Xu Xin distance lob), I do tbh feel like I have more control in my lobs with this vs Bluefire.

Fh or bh? - In regards to penhold I could only recomend this rubber for the fh. Shakehand it might work out on bh too, but I would only recomend it if you favour a lot of bh blocking if you're a major bh blocker. For all round/offensive game, I'd keep it to the fh. (though this is my subjective thoughts on the case)
So yes, this is the best rubber I've tried so far in regards to blocking which have led me to use the TPB for blocks/redirecting a bit more lately, but I'd have to work at balancing that. (as I would not want to waste the splendid capabilities of P7, block once before RPB/bh might be a good strategy though)

Now, why would you not want this rubber on your fh? If your game consists of a lot of slow heavy top-spin on fh, I'd recomend something else. (Like P7?)
I enjoy pushing under/side spin, and adding sidespin to top spins or the pure sidespin when the ball is on it's way down, the spin on these strokes was generated slightly easier with jp-01 Turbo (and P7 is rather insane in this matter, but quiet a bit slower, is non-tensor and far from as good in blocking), this also makes it not as sensitive to incomming spin as well (jp-01 Turbo is less sensitive than Tenergy 05, and this a tiny bit less sensitive than jp-01 Turbo), but a good touch can still generate a good amount of spin.

Other thoughts?
- I think the only reason Jp-01 Turbo had a easier time generating spin was due the increased rebound time, the top sheets are both similar and grippy afterall, therefore Tenzone Ultra just needs a more precise touch to generate same amount.
- Flicking was a dream.
- Throw angle was perfect imo. ofc slightly lower Than Tenergy 05 I've heard, but there are several lower, neither higher nor lower would not be any better for me.
- A tiny bit lighter weight than Jp-01 Turbo. (did not weight, just based on intuition/feel)
- If you're a Modern Defender, I'd imagine few rubbers matching this one in a fh killer attack. (thinking Joo Sae Hyuk style)
- As for now durability is great, Only used for about 3 weeks, so I'l give an update when I need to change it.

I hope my review was of some help!

Extremely light, super affordable and very comfortable to wear. Quite durable no signs of wear after 2 months of playing(thrice a week) or maybe too early to say. Still, I highly recommend for such an affordable price.

I'm also a marathoner and so I became pretty particular and nosy with the feel of my flats regardless of type of shoes. So this one I may say one of my favorites.

I have been playing with andro PLAXON 450 on my FH for a few weeks now and I rly like this rubber.
It's has a medium sponge with good gears from soft short touches to spiny loops. It's obviously not as fast as a hard sponge rubber but fast enough to win points with. I would say it comes close to Tenergy when it comes to spin but with the added bonus of not being to fast if you think Tenergy is to fast for you.

Der_Echte has made the Tibhar Kim Jung Hoon his primary battle ax for the last week and is ready to report findings...

KJH blade is designed by Nexy for Tibhar. Korea pro Kim Jung Hoon wanted Nexy to design his namesake balde. KJH was impressed with the early versions of the Nexy Peter Pan and told Pr. Moon what he wanted. I watched this exchange at Nexy HQ a few months before I left Korea. The basic things KJH wanted were...

- High spin potential and high arc
- Feel for the ball
- Decent top speed gear
- Controlled pace on shots that are not full swing
- Solid feel on direct struck balls
- Ability to block both fast off the bounce and soft BH defense
- Reliability close to the table on counters and off the bounce loops
- Flip and short touch performance

KJH got what he wanted. This blade isn't a rocket blade, but you make the "bang" impact, the ball will move out. The top end has enough to finish points, but you really have to have the timing of your body parts to make the thing leave a vapor trail.

I REALLY like its ability to fast block close to the table and also soft block when I loosen the hand pressure. I love how it can make good pace with a firm grip right before impact given a short compact swing.

My game relies on an ability to spin the first ball heavy and loop drive or hit the return. This blade does that. On receive, I tend to either be really aggressive or indecisive and ultimately passive, but the touch you can put on the ball can save your bacon. This isn't an OFF+ class blade, but you can still lay the smack down on finishes given the chance. I also like its ability to play more offensive minded close to the table, whether it is fast blocking or countering, you really can apply pressure to an opponent. That counts for a lot.

In my opinion the 3* seamless plastic balls are not as good as any 3* plastic balls with seam.
The Xushaofa balls are in comperison to other balls pretty round and hard but with the seamless balls you are not able to play as powerfull shots as with the plastic balls with seam and it is very difficult to play with a lot of spin, what you can do with non-seamless-balls.
So all in all i prefer the plastic balls with seam ecpecially those of Nittaku.
