topsheet is very grippy when fresh, and the sponge has some liveliness to it. Doesn't feel like a typical Chinese jap rubber clone, has that tensor-like sink and rebound. Good control for a backhand rubber, not overly spin sensitive. D ecent spin and power, but probably too slow and mushy for 5 ply all woods, but on an OFF rated composite blade should have adequate finishing power. Loops have good control and safety, but needs a fast blade to get real power. Although marketed as a tenergy 05 clone, this rubber comes off feeling more like a slower version of a Xiom vega rubber. Rubber quality was overall impressive for the price, but durabiliy seems to be an issue, the edges tend to chip and small scratches appear on the surface of the rubber rather quickly. The tuner effect also wears out within a month or so, and the rubber becomes a lot slower after that. The rubber is also quite heavy, about the same weight as tenergy 05, but without the power to justify it. Also comes with a nice thick adhesive rubber cover, which is a nice touch for the price.

All in all, it is a solid rubber for the price, more than enough for beginners, or developing players who use composite blades. However, a little more money gets you into the Xiom/Tibhar/Yasaka price range, and this rubber is a notch below all of those.

Moon is a rubber wanna copy the BTY 05 , and the effect of it is ok, just ok. The spong is very easy to damage when you pull it out from the blade, and the QC of it is not stable.

I ordered two pairs of this rubber. The black one was 36 degrees hard and the red was 38. So this meant the red will go for forhand and the black for backhand.

Actually the rubber plays very good for this price, quite linear, there are some occasional variations. Spin is very nice, with good technique it is enormous. Speed is slow. I recommend this rubber for beginners, because this rubber needs to be swinged to actually work. But on higher level this rubber is no option.

Actually I boosted my rubbers, with a lot of oil. So when boosted speed was a bit slower than T05Fx, control was still decent, and spin was better, but still required good technique.
I tried many chinese euro style rubbers and they do have one thing in common, their sponge is not so springy as the modern ESN rubbers, so you have to alter your looping stroke a bit. Use a bit more opened angle and a bit more pushing when looping to engage the sponge harder with the ball and you wil get your fine loops.

When boosted this rubber preformes quite well and it definetly worth the price and very suitable for amateur competition level or even a for intermediate competitions.

A good rubbers in the market but can't compare to T05 in term of spin, speed and quality.
I used its on BH side, which suit me well. And glued it with speed glue (apply 2 layers).
Have a go since Bty rubbers so pricey these days.

I have given this rubber 5 stars, not because it is as good as Tenergy but because it is very cheap for how good it is. I think its an excellent rubber for beginners and intermediate players in table tennis. I have given my old sheet of Milky Way Moon to some kids I coach and it really teaches them the stroke.

You get good spin on serves and push shots and has excellent control during topspins, the only real issue is its speed. When you want to kill the ball it can sometimes be tricky. This is where lets say Tenergy 05 excels. It is much easier to generate great speed with Tenergy. But for the Milky Way Moon's price you cannot go wrong really.

I have heard some players boost this rubber so it is faster, perhaps this would be the best option.

The Yinhe Moon has the internet TT forum rep of being a T05 replacement. In the strict sense of replacing a previously used product, I would agree. As for being a clone of T05 performance, it isn't anywhere close to T05 in either its playing properties or performance.

Still, Moon in its own right is a very controllable rubber with a very inexpensive price. The price is why players look for that dear eternal T05 replacement. Heck, I was one of them before I settled on a rubber or two.

Moon is not very reactive to spin compared to T05, so your bump shots and passive shots where you just basically hold your bat are a lot more forgiving than T05. If you have a full swing and good timing and acceleration, you can create decent spin. With a half stroke, do not expect the heavy spin you get from T05. Just like an Allround OFF rubber does, Moon excels at really nothing but control with a little pace and spin, but it does all the shots well. Moon isn't a tacky rubber (Pro version is supposed to be) and it doesn't yet have a mythical "National" version coveted by the TT underworld... yet.

Do not slap on a sheet of Moon and expect to be spinning the cover off the ball or blasting it through walls, Moon is a control rubber and should be marketed that way, since it is more controllable than it is fast or glue feel or spinny.
