Donic World Champion 89 Appelgren

I got this blade to test how much faster Rakza Z was compared to H3 39 provincial OS. I was playing with a Nittaku basaltec Inner.

It was a pleasantly surprised. It is a well behaved outer blade and slower than most other outer I have tested.

Rakza Z and this blade is slightly faster than H3 and Nittaku basalt inner.

It has just the right amount of flex so You get a good feel .
Lots of control and power when You need it

Due to the flex and spruce outer layer spinney shots are easy and it blocks really well.

If You are an all out power only player You will probably thing its too slow.

All in all its a great blade for an all round player.

I got this blade with Tibhar Evolution MX-P on both sides. It feels almost identical to the Andro Ligna due to the fact that both have spruce. The Appelgren seems to be better at looping than the Ligna and very good at looping generally. The dwell time is also quite good. Counter-Loops and blocks are simple and easy to do but the counter-looping can go long sometimes. One thing I had liked about the Ligna was the ability to basically slam the ball when backhand flicking. This blade is no less powerful in the flicking department. Overall, if you buy this blade with rubbers like Tenergy, Evolution, Bluefire, Rasant etc. you can't go wrong.

I use it with MX-P. So it is a really good combo! Very good control in block and counter. Very easy to loop with!

The blade has a great balance between speed and control. The blade is light with lots of feeling.
