1. The sponge under that spot gave way/broke.
2. The pimple on the spot is broken.
3. You pressed something against the rubber. ESN Tensors tends to do that when you do. It will be gone in a few days if thats the case.

I used bookweight to let the glue dry overnight. What if conditions 1 or 2 were true? Will this significantly affect my rubber's performance?

not really. the spot is too small to make a difference to your game. youll probably hit it once out of an entire night of training, and that is not too big of a deal is it?
Also, the longer i look at it, the more it looks like condition 3 to me.

Also, since you can afford a Boll ZLC, why not just change a new piece of rubber?

The same thing happened to my Donic rubbers I bought a while back. It did not affect the game but I think It's sad that it can happen to completely new rubbers..
