I probably didn't make myself clear enough....

So... Firstly:

That is true in all E.U. i think. But the problem is that most of the times the products with no brand, often doesn't have the same quality control, even if they are made in the same facilities as the brand product.

For example: the same factory that produces a w968 could also be producin' the yinhe knock off version, just without any qc....

QC = Quality Control!

Second:
And, again, a counterfeit product is generally breaking the law. It is something else, pretending to something from a brand with a reputation for quality. Often the counterfeit is selling at a price that is more reasonable. But, just like it is illegal for me to make a fake ID and pretend to be someone else. A company that isn't Butterfly selling a blade and saying it is a Butterfly is NOT GOOD and buying those kinds of products because you got tricked is one thing. But buying one on purpose supports crimal activity.

I guess i wasn't precise enough. I wasn't talkin' bout companies pretending to be other companies, but rather that yinhe example.
When the company makes a cheaper rosewood version for lower budget for example.
I absolutely agree that pretending to be butterfly when you are not butterfly is totally wrong and is a criminal act.
Our "Zoll" (which is the german equivalent to "U.S. customs") is catching plenty counterfeited products...

The message was so important that Carl had to say it twice.

"COUNTERFEITING IS BAD! COUNTERFEITING IS BAD! BAD! BAD! STRONGBAD!"

LOL. Technology. Hahahahaha.

And StrongBad would be pretty useful just about now!

Nah, wasn't responding to you.

The Yinhe blades are not fakes. They say exactly what they are. For example the Yinhe replica of a Rosewood is clearly announcing itself as a Yinhe replica of a Rosewood. And those are actually pretty nice blades.

So, here is Strong Bad to the rescue:

Thanks, carl. I had a feeling, that i wasn't meant. ('cause otherwise you might have quoted me)
But i wanted to make sure nobody else would misunderstand.
On one of my very first posts i wrote a very misunderstandable comment and had to edit it later...

hope i wasn't overreacting now.

You are good. I actually think, aside from the double post which I should get around to deleting at some point, hahaha, that I may have already said it anyway. I've got a lot on my mind and am more distracted than usual with some family stuff.

So, to repeat again for the 4th time, or, as Strong Bad would say, "Often, and twice again," that, counterfeit products are BadBad. Which can't compare to Strong Bad who is at least able to play a guitar solo without a guitar and make me laugh. LOL.
