Hello, does anyone have an experience with old and new version of Primorac Carbon and could compare them?

Thanks a lot

Weeellll ... Word is - as with all the old blades - that the old versions are so much better, especially when they have been played for a while.

As a sidenote, this debate sometimes arrives at a point where you could think any old blade is better than any new ...

Back to Primorac Carbon, I must have had all sorts of handles by now, different weights between 85 and 95 grams, different versions with and without serial numbers and the legendary black tag. And all I can say is the newest that I bought is the best - it just feels right in my hand, is balanced well with heavier rubbers, and offers great control with all this power.

Of course I could be the lucky owner of an unexpectedly good new blade, and I am not saying the old ones were bad as such. For somebody else, my blade might feel inferior to an old one. Maybe even my game changed so that now I can handle this blade better than I used to, but after all I´d say "careful with the hype". If you buy a collector´s quality blade for 200 Euro and then it just doesn´t cut it for you the disappointment will be huge.

And as another sidenote, I have a feeling that many owners of old blades just aren´t willing to admit that their precious purchase is just ordinary, so all the black tags are marvellous of course. ;)
