Wow. I am not a dedicated collector, but when I buy a box of balls I put one ball into the jar for some time now, or exchange
my ball with the ball of my opponent and again into the jar. Also bought some interesting novelty balls... So i have around 70 balls, 15 of them are the 38mm

Feeling lucky -so yesterday in my club I found a 38mm!!! ball laying around. No idea how did it end up there. Maybe some old school one time players left it. SO now I have 16 38mm balls in my jar. The ball is a low end one from the unknown Vietnamese manufacturer. The rearer, the better :)

I have a few, just thought they were interesting (one with a snowflake logo) - but 4000!!!! Oh My Goodness!!!!

Yes, it's hard to imagine 4000.
I have 75 different balls and it's already getting harder to get the ones I don't have (I don't buy them on purpose, I try to exchange with other players from the club..)

For "some time"? ;)

I may still have a few at my parents' house... might have to look for them! Not even so much for collecting, as just to try what they feel like.

Also, one thing I like about TT: almost anyone can put together a great collection, based on their interests. I am sure there's lots of fun to be had in watches or cars collecting but heck, your first purchase could fund that previous guy's entire 4000-ball collection. Both are nuts in some way, of course. A good way.
