I just got one of these, does somebody know if they are factory lacquered by default?

That´s where I have checked first and I also used google. But anway, if I had to make a guess, I´d say that it is factory sealed, by how it feels and looks. And that is what confuses me, though there is nothing to find about it on the internet.

I have 2, used to have 4. I am pretty sure, that they are not lacquer the top pliers because they tend to splinter quite easily.

I have one and it looks to be unlacquered. Doesn't have that very slight sheen from lacquer that was noticeable on other lacquered blades I've seen.
