T05 Hard will likely be more than T05Does anyone know which pros still use T05? Or has everyone switched to Dignics of some sort?
Not like it used to be, when many players favoured t05 over their sponsor´s material. The days of trading one standard t05 for three ESN "Select" rubbers are long over.Must be many not Butterfly sponsored who use Tenergy

Yeah, I would assume so. To the younger generation it seems to me that Tenergy has become the new Shriver, at least in how they view its place when compared to Dignics. However, I wouldn't be surprised if T05 would still be competitive at the very top level in 10 years.Must be many not Butterfly sponsored who use Tenergy
This is what i witness in German leagues 3 to 5 - since t05 has its own distinctive feel players just stick with it. Also, after so many years on the market, of course they know how much of which substance to apply to arrive at their individual optimum rubber performance...there are still many who have adapted their games to Tenergy and see no point in changing.
I think there is more testing at the expert bottom and the very top than in between or the very bottom. At the very top, the manufacturers can work with them on design and innovation and they can be very specific about what they think will help or not help. At the expert bottom, people experiment to find what works. Otherwise, people use what they have or what they have trained with. This is what i witness in German leagues 3 to 5 - since t05 has its own distinctive feel players just stick with it. So why try all this new stuff and Hybrid and what not, when you know something will just work for you.
By the way, I think there´s more testing done at the very bottom than at the very top ;-)
Why, is it just because hard is the latest fad? What force or impulse can be generated by T05H that can't be generated by T05? What is really important are the CORs and the ratio between the tangential and normal COR.T05 Hard will likely be more than T05
Because a harder rubber isn’t effected as much by received spin, that makes a difference specially in the slow game. Why, is it just because hard is the latest fad? In other words, having a harder sponge, all things being equal, affects the very variables that our resident know-it-all keeps parroting in response to various inputs and not everyone wants to change their inputs to produce different outputs - some want different outputs in response to their current inputs.Because a harder rubber isn’t effected as much by received spin, that makes a difference specially in the slow game.

Yes, but I am normalizing, not talking about absolute values. And the top is able to influence manufacturers more directly than the bottom which is relevant. The market size is way bigger in the bottom, than the top
it is fair to say, harder sponges are for higher level users.Yes, but I am normalizing, not talking about absolute values. And the top is able to influence manufacturers more directly than the bottom which is relevant.
I know pros (2600-2700, so maybe not 2750+) who still use regular 05. But higher level players can get the best out of harder sponge, but there are lower players who prefer them too.it is fair to say, harder sponges are for higher level users.
OP was asking about Pros
But if we take in amateur circle, I would say T05 market share is still pretty huge.
Also, females will likely use T05 more than T05H and D05 in semi pro circles.
so T05 market share still exists quite well.
What you are saying would make T05H not as good for looping too.Because a harder rubber isn’t effected as much by received spin, that makes a difference specially in the slow game.
