Recently ive been finding out punch oriented backhand technique is what fits my playstyle. Any rubbers recommended? My clubmates have been recommending me Acuda S2. A cheaper substitution would be great too
Loki T3, cheap, fast, very punchy.

Spinfire SP on a fast carbon blade punches well, 802 will work, but is much slower than Spinfire

Rozena for inverted is a good puncher

what about rubbers around the price range of acuda s2? Could be a bit more expensive tho I wouldnt mind spending a bit more on my bh since my backhand needs more training
I'm not sure why you're fixated on Acuda S2. There's nothing too special about that rubber.

However if you are willing to spend more, you may want to tryout Rakza XX, Nittaku Z2 or Victas v22

I use Spinfire SP on my backhand. It is fast but not super fast, meaning not Tenergy type of fast.

I mean, I have watched those Japanese videos. I even tried a couple techniques from the videos in real life but it is not that easy to unlock the power of Spinfire. I am still working on it.

I tried 802 and it is a good, cheap rubber. I like it. Neither 802 or Spinfire wobbles the ball too much which I really like. I like something direct and something I can spin a little bit with. Yes 802 is slower than Spinfire.

Rozena is a good choice for punching too since it is not very spin sensitive.

I can totally understand why, decent speed and catapult, not spin sensitivity, little less spin but this is not needed for punch…

I play a traditional BH, but I still chose Accuda S2. It very stable long lasting and great for developing. I will soon upgrade to Bluegrip S2 for better spin but I’m in no rush…

I’d say Accuda S2 would be a great punching rubber.

Cheers

Short pips, or any fast low throw rubber with low bite. Bluestorm Z3 is good for it. Any rubber that's good for block will also be good for punch.

many players in the Philippines use Acuda S2 on backhand. I'm not exactly sure why but it's because of the blades that everyone uses. Think Amultart, Garaydia, Sardius. Those blades are very popular, pure carbon blades are used widely. Speed's the name of the game here.

Besides Tenergy/ Dignics 64 the only rubber that came to mind is Joola Rhyzm and Donic Acuda S1/2. Those rubbers are all spinny sure, but man the flat hits in rally are just fantastic.
I'd say in rally T64>D64>S1>Rhyzm>S2.
First openup (spin) S2>Rhyzm>T64>D64=S1
But all these rubbers are monsters in flat hits.

I say all kind of sarcastic stuff on these kind of threads with obvious answers... I can say seriously that the bh rubber in my sig bat... Aurus Soft, can punch like a motor scooter on BH, often my BH hit is faster than many players' FH smashes.
