Hello there,

Latelly I've been testing out an old HL5 that a friend lent me and, at the same time, I've got the opportunite (not a coincidence) to get an blade abroad.

That said, I've been really interested into the H2, but the sample size of the reviews is too small for me to get a good idea on what the blade is without trying in person.

For that reason, I've come to ask if someone can compare the H2 to the HL5 and the Harimoto ALC, specially the hardness and flexness of the blade, since I'm looking for a inner carbon blade with the hardness of the HL5 and a middle ground between the Harimoto and the HL5 in the flex department(the harimoto is too stiff and the HL5 is too flexy for me).

If you have other suggestions of blades that I should give it a look, I would also be glad!

I was thinking the same thing! HL5 is a bit too soft, and Harimoto ALC is a bit stiff.

So far the best thing I have is the Stuor Harimoto ZLC. It's just perfect for me.

Another option for you to look at is the Stiga Inspira Hybrid Carbon. I own various versions of HL5 and the Stuor clone and have tried the Harimoto ALC and for me the Stiga Inspira is the best as it combines the best features of the HL5 and and outer ALC blade. It feels stable, controllable, powerful and has the crispy backhand of an outer ALC.

From what I've read, the hybrid carbon would be a risky choice for me, since I find the Viscaria hardness almost the maximum acceptable for me. That said, if I get the chance to try one, I would love to give it a chance.

It's not as hard as it might be expected due to the larger sized head and the hybrid material probably. It really is unlike regular ALC blades in a good way IMO.

Inspira Hybrid Carbon is faster than Viscaria. Inspira > Vis > H2 in speed. I don't think they are similar at all.

I would never buy outer blade when I need inner blade...

I find the Viscaria hardness almost the maximum acceptable for me.

Joola Rossi Emotion, or Butterfly Freitas if you prefer it faster.
Freitas is an outer carbon blade, but the thick outer limba ply makes it feel woody and more like an inner blade to me, loved it with Ten05. Low throw.
JRE is so nicely balanced and spinny thanks to outer hinoki+kiri plies, it is slower than Freitas, but has more than enough speed unless you're playing in a pro league. High throw.

I got the opportunity to try the normal one with an omega 7 asia and an omega 7 pro.
I was expecting to be as hard as the harimoto alc, but got really surprised by the soft feeling that it had.

Have you tried the hina hayata h2? I have the same reasoning as you, looking forward to sth flexible but come with "good speed"

What i found after reading here and there, BTY innerforce ZLC and Stiga invinity VPS V , are the safest choice

If you don't have Harimoto's super fast reflex, playing with his ALC will be too handful

Could you compare with the joola zqh 90?

My ZQH 90 is stiffer and less forgiving than the Inspira Hybrid Carbon but seems more lively and maneuverable and requires more skill to handle in my opinion.
