It's not like there's the one and only way to hold a cpen blade... In fact, I use a "wide claw" grip because I find rpb and transitioning fh/bh easier that way. The way I hold my blade, my index finger doesn't even touch the handle, so there would be no benefit at all with this "finger support".

Ah. I also use a wide claw grip, but my fingers are pretty long so they curl around and touch the handle. I recently made a clay piece to accommodate for the wide claw grip:

Well, that would certainly help with your grip style! It's a cool solution with the molded clay!
I see you put more of the index finger on the blade face than I do. For me, only the final phalanx of my index is on the blade... It's probably due to hand proportions and size.

That said, I don't think that basically transforming a cpen handle into a jpen-at-home (as per the OP) would really improve rpb that much...

I don’t play penhold really, but I Cpen as it is more comfortable than jpen so this looks useless to me, and why buy it when it’s super easy to make?
